i personal dont believe it but many groups have predicted it ex: mayans,hopi indians,the bible St Malachy predicted the world will end with the 112th pope; pope bendict is our 111th pope. Why would all these people predict the same date?
I scratched into the temple wall today that the world is going to end in a couple thousand years as a joke! I wonder what the temple workers are going to say!

Lol I would laugh my ass off if that was seriously what happened... although I have to agree with my friends as we have all unanimously decided that if the world ends we will be pissed as hell...(Because we just graduated from high school 6 months prior)
No it is not just because some planets alingn togheter as predictided in the miyan calander doesent mean the world is gonna end.
I think someone else said that. I'm not an expert on this topic, but I'm pretty sure all the Mayans did was stop making their calender. So we're going to make all this out of people thousands of years ago who got sick of making a calender. Ridiculous if you ask me.
Ok. The Mayan Calender Predicts exactly that the world will "end" on December 21, 2012 right. WRONG. Yes you are wrong. Let me explain. The Mayans Gods played this game with a ball. And the goal was to put the ball through the hole. Who one was spared and the rest were murdered. Well the thing is the the Sun is this "ball". And there is a galactic center where a ring of star, space stuff matter has collected. And with thier extensive knowledge of the universe, they predicted that the Sun was to align with this galactic ring and thus ending the game metaphorically thus ending the life and everything in the universe. And the didn't say that the world would end, It was said that the universe was said to be reborn. And with thier calculations this event was to happen around every 2000 or 5000 years or something. I think it was around 5000. If any of you in this debate actually ever studied the subject you would know exactly what I am talking about.

well whether the universe is going to be reborn or simply ending, it does not change the thing with all life ending on earth. so in the mayan world end/universe being reborn theory we will all die. but since i dont give .... about the mayan calendar i am going to live for a long time(or not but if so its not the fault of the world ending)
this whole thing is impossible if you believe in an "end" then you have to have religion and if that is christian the bible says that know man will know the time ore date of the end so this is clearly wrong
