I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.
This is why they must teach evolution in science classes as well as creationism in Religious Studies. you gotta understand the argument before you argue against it. Humans are not the pinacal of all evolution we are one (not that succesful to be honest) off shoot of life. A seaweed will never evolve in to humans beause we completely seperate species. Animals will always evolve to suit thre environment.
What do you mean humans aren't successful? Humans are incredibly successful. The only real mission of evolution is to survive and reproduce. And humans have certainly done that!
I mean we haven't beena round that long a few hundred thousand years even the least succesful Ausralopithecines were around longer and dinosaurs were around for 140 milion years or so. Apart from time we do kind of own though.
I had this argument with samy on another thread. Dating methods based on the half lives of radioactive materials are extremely accurate over long periods of time. They put the date of the earth's creation at around, like xzeno said, 4.6 billion years.
Ok, to all who believe in the question, "Can God make a rock so big that even he can't lift it?" are believing in a contradictory statement, an illogical contradictory statement. Also if you look back upon the letters, books, and discussions with Darwin (when he was alive) you will find that yes he did believe and came up with the idea of Natural Selection, what he does not admit to believing is evolution. He did not make the idea of evolution, he made the basis for other scientists to create and believe in evolution. Going back to my first point, that question is like asking "If the Big bang was so huge, why didn't it create an explosion, that destroyed its self or anything around it that would give the Big Bang something to mutate to a single cell form?" Along with this and the first question, it is a logical contradiction. My question is, what do Atheists have to prove evolution? I talking rock hard evidence of a being that is in mid-evolution. A dinosaur that is part chicken and part T-Rex perhaps. Anything that is rock hard evidence that will show beyond a shadow of a doubt that evolution is real.
Archaeopteryx- half chicke half t-rex sort of it has teeth of a dinosaur but the feathers of a bird and could fly a bit. Also the big bang is a bit of a misnomer it was not an explosion just an expansion that happened very quickly like aballon being blown into. Darwin was indeed a Christian but i'm sure he backed his own theorie sand he would have attended a discussional meeting "fight" between creationistsa and evolutionists but he was ill.
This tread is ALL WRONG!!!!! I mean Im no athist (is that how you spell it?) but why can't you have an opean mind? And with this kind of "threads" now I am starting to acctully belive that the world will end in 2012, you no why? Not because of some sort of Apcolypse, no, i think that people like you who belive this is wrong or can't stand others veiws if life, will ultimitly end life as we know it! I beg you to opean your eyes and recpect the view points of others! And to not devote a Hate Thread against another veiw of life!
yeah u cant critisize kidslayer because hes a christian and to christians wqhos faith makes sense, its ridiculous to look at things such as the the big bank or evolution

I definitely agree with this. An interesting point to add is that all galaxies, except the ones really close to us, are all moving away from us. That means that the universe is expanding. Now, if you trace that expansion backwards, your can derive the age of the universe at about 15 billion years, far longer than the Bible indicates.
age of the universe at about 15 billion years, far longer than the Bible indicates.
Indeed, more proof of the big bang like the abundance of helium and especially hydrogen throughout the universe, as well as of course the red shift in radiation all support the big bang.
One thing I would like to mention is that scientists have found that the seas are gaining salt every year. If someone could prove me wrong then say so.
