I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.
If you don't call this hypocrisy, then what is it?
Woops, forgot this.
Its defense.
Here, let me give you an example. Lets say a new religion comes up and takes over a small country that you move to. Now this religion is a republic, but some laws effecting the religion make it into the school. Instead of teaching evolution, they teach that magical faeries change things as they see fit.
You can see were this law would get annoying?
There is another law that allows assault as long is it follows there religion. If you offend them, such as staring at them funny, then they are allowed to fatally wound you as long as it is done with a ceremonial knife.
Now that it is blown up, you can see were this would be a problem, yes? Would you not either move or try repairing the law?
Atheistic beliefs have been imposed on individuals, just as religious beliefs have been also.
Give me an example. I would like to debate whether specific "atheistic beliefs" have in fact been imposed anywhere.
Delusions? You describe my beliefs and the belief of billions of other people as if they are merely some vision we had in an intoxicated daze.
It does not matter how many people share your belief. It is not fact, and no amount of belief will make it so. If you look at the meaning of "delusion" you will see that it is a belief that is based on falsehoods and/or deception. I would say that there is a good amount of evidence that much of your Bible is written out of deception. Therefore a belief in it would constitute a delusion.
I do not criticize anyone for their beliefs. Everyone is entitled to them. However what I do criticize is when people try to impose their beliefs on others, especially through coercion, subterfuge, and manipulation.

You use this argument a lot implying that he is trying to push atheism on you but in reality he is just pointing out the flaws in your religion. I would also like to add that the atheists are not going around trying to scare people in to being atheists unlike the Christians.

The repersenatives of both sides are not the best to represent, for example, on the news you might hear of some crazy christains killing non belivers, they are basically representing the christian comunity without any aproval of the majoraty of christains, same for if some atheist whent around killing belivers, BTW has happened, "cassie pulle dthe trigger" see the stupid ones of both sides are representing their own sides even though the majority are nothing like that, like the priest raping children, prob less than 0.0001% of preist have done it yet people think it is a 50 50 gamble when their kid goes to bible camp. my point is your point targets all christains or is implied and yet merly bec. "some" or a "few christains" push their faith on others, is that very inteligent of you? I can't spell

I get your point their, I do realize that not all of them are trying to push it on people, but the fact is that it is in the bible that they worship. "if you don't worship the lord you will go to hell where you will burn for all eternity"

1. This is different than forcing beliefs on people. You're second sentence does not support the first. 2. Most Christians don't force their beliefs, they try to recruit. This should not be used as reason to bash Christianity because atheists do this as well.

I would try to repair the law. I would try to do this without persuading people to stop believing in God.

I never said anyone is forcing anyone to do anything now did I? I said that part of the bible is trying to scare people into the religion. Doesn't sound like forcing it sounds like "trying". As for #2 MRWalker82 already stated my response to that.
When was the last time your neighborhood atheists knocked on your door and told you all sorts of horrible things would happen to you for eternity unless you adopted their way of thinking?
I have never in my life seen an atheist trying to recruit people.
Most Christians don't force their beliefs, they try to recruit.
Recruiting using coercion and fear isn't necessarily the best way to go about things. Personally I'm a bit put off when people come knocking on my door to tell me that I'm going to be burned and tortured for eternity if I don't follow their book.
I have never in my life seen an atheist trying to recruit people.
Actually I have. However the difference I see is that as atheists tend to use reason, logic, and science to sway others to see things from their point of view, although just like anything, there are morons in every cross section of society.
I am an atheist. Many people argue that god exist but I believe reasons are more fate than divine intervention. There is plenty of proof of god not existing, bad design of the world, death of young children and evil and suffering. God is meant to be all loving and all powerful to the christian religion. If he is like this then he would want to get rid of evil and he would be able to. So why does it still exist? Clearly this means your worshipping a god for something that hes not, or he dosnt exist. End of.
Only the heterosexual female atheists and the homosexual male ones. I'm pretty sure the homosexual females and the heterosexual males are quite turned off by the thought of placing testes in their mouths.
