Hi, I am level 3142, and I am going to be the first to get a grade 100 gem.

How did I get specs obscenely high? Well, thanks to this dude over here...

One important thing to note is how to create dual gems. Adding two grade one's them spamming U is losing about 33% special power.

Optimal creation is a G1 of both, combine, make a G2 of each, add one pure to each dual, combine the G3s, duplicate, and repeat with pure G4s, duplicate the 6, etc.

here is the difference at g34:
Regular creation:

Special Mix:

Note that the hit count is the same, and the cost to duplicate is the same. This is a difference of 32.9%, and this difference keeps rising at higher levels. It's only a 16% difference at grade 6. It takes a decent amount of time, but it is worth it at ultimate grades (45+).

I now have huge specs. It takes me about 20-30 seconds real life time to get +1 grade. So a minute before +2(needed if want extra specs). I estimate my specs to be about 80% higher than normal, at least blood is.

PS- Level 46 amps got the spec treatment too, they are wicked.

These supergems are really quite wicked ... The G87-euivalent for itself:

Amped by 4xG84 + 2xG85:

That makes a G74 per Frame (supported by a G84 and a G85 in adjacent Traps). Still, without upgrading anything in between it would take 8 hours (!) now to produce a G88 (4 for another G87).
I'm doing this on a laptop, so on a Desktop it work better. Without calculating I would assume it would definitively take more than a week to get to G100 ...

I#m gonna build my killgem now and then probably stop this craziness ...

I just calculated, that without lag it would take about 8 1/2 minutes to create a G88. I never really experimented with the optimal number of monsters (atm 20k, too much, sure). I might try that.

Has somebody worthy experiences to share in this regard?

cant say myself running with 4-5k monsters im doing 1 wave per 2 or so minutes and going from 79-80 took around 20 minutes of real time

Well tell me how to squish the red in the supergem? Because I keep duplicating, etc, it grows too strong. Also, way way harder than I'm used to w/o blue in gem, but blue would make supergemming even worse. Step by step please.

ive got an idea ill test in the next game thats very complicated but should phase out black blue and red from the gem completely so its almost all orange by the end

Personally for me, I don't have the attention span or free time to get to grade 70-80+ equivalents, so I'm going to stick to my dual gemming strategy for "optimal" gems.

It seems you're on to something wonderful, ConnerC. Good luck with your endeavors.

I'll post GC0 stuff here, for lack of anywhere else to put them. If you guys can suggest something, that'd be nice. I also have looooads of pics(70+) of all my old runs during january-march if anyone wants to see.

Because of the upgrading-trouble:

Red (and eventually Blue) get that much stronger as one always uses the same gem for upgrading and combining. Probably Connor's got the same idea: You're not obliged to upgrade that way.

Have a copy of your main managem - but have ot without R and Blue. That's the one you (can) use for upgrading. There are numerous possibilities to steer the power of the compoonents.

Should defintively work, I think. Haven't tried it yet, though. Makes upgrading a bit complicated too, as it is easy to mess something up ...

Yeah but to supergem, then thou need to keep duplicating and upgrading the OB gems that your quad will eat. Too much work.

Type DD, type U, type GG - way easier than upgrading a specced Dualgem to mix it in. The Problem is rather thats not easy to organize without making annoying mistakes.

cronos, your method is awsome I had only little problem with firing speed, so just placed one high grade non-supergem amplifier (rest are supergems).
