We're growing a collection of website quests that you can earn by discovering parts of the site! These are a feature still in development as we go, so fair warning there may be some strangeness. If they don't show on your profile, give them 24-48 hours before contacting @MrDayCee and letting him know what's wrong.
NOTE: Website Quests can't currently activate on Game Pages or the Front Page. You'll need to visit your profile, quest page, friends page or an active forum page to get them to properly activate.

Are we actually allowed to link to a walkthrough we made for past quests from already existing threads? And what actually defines a walkthrough? For completing the whole game or specific quests (such as the very hard ones)?
@PHLHimself, show me the link to the walkthrough and I should be able to tell you more.
And what actually defines a walkthrough? For completing the whole game or specific quests (such as the very hard ones)?
I actually haven't considered this yet, but I was under the impression that the walkthroughs that are eligible for the quests are supposed to be stand alone threads in the Walktrhough Section of the forum. However, a very well thought out post (that is a reply and not it's own thread) might qualify as well, but I'll have to talk to Ferret first.
--------------------------------
The walkthroughs don't necessarily need to be long, but it needs to be high quality and show that the user put forth some amount of effort to make it. High quality means, the walkthrough has proper spelling, decent grammar, somewhat easy to understand (organization helps with this) and the walkthrough has helpful/useful information.
Some things are situational as well. A walkthrough with only a few sentences long, that only rehashes information given within the game, probably isn't worthy of the quest. However, even a short walkthrough for a short game can still get the quest as long as the walkthrough shows effort and gives helpful information.
Then, there could be a long walkthrough for a long game, but the walkthrough could be so hard to understand and/or read that the walkthrough is not helpful and probably doesn't get the quest.
A walkthrough does not have to be for the entire game either. It could be a walkthrough for a particularly hard part of a game, or a walkthrough on how to obtain a quest.
Bottom line is that the walktrhough need not be long, but it has to be helpful, and easy to read (easy to read as in decent spelling, grammar and organization, like paragraphs instead of wall-of-text.) As well, if a user asks for the quest and the walkthrough is not high quality enough, thee user can edit the walkthrough to improve it and try again for the quest.
Is this a good example of what is expected?
I've made two posts about those quests since they were pretty hard to get and I was one of the first to get them at that particular moment.
And what actually defines a walkthrough? For completing the whole game or specific quests (such as the very hard ones)?
I for one believe that the person writing a walkthrough, should in fact also have that particular quest. But I guess that would be creating work for the moderators to double check and double read
But anyways, thanks for the clarification you've already given in your post. It makes things a bit more clear.
Meh, the walkthrough quest is kind of dumb. I've done multiple walkthroughs for quests before, and I'll do them again, but adding a quest that a moderator has to arbitrarily CHOOSE to give you seems really questionable.
@PHLHimself
I confered with Ferret. You can earn the Guide quest for a reply within a thread as well. Enjoy you're new quest! :]
@Olinser
There has to be some quality requirement for the quest or else users will make unhelpful walkthroughs made just for the quest. Kind of like the people who were posting "comment" and "for quest" for the Forum-tastic quest. It shouldn't be overly difficult to get the Guide quest, but effort in making the walkthrough needs to be shown.
...but adding a quest that a moderator has to arbitrarily CHOOSE to give you seems really questionable.
You can ask for the quest too, any user can comment on my profile with a link to the walkthrough. The user can always go back and fix up grammar, fix spelling errors, add paragraphs breaks (if there was wall-of-text), and ask for the quest again.
Also, could you link me to any one of the walkthroughs you've done so you can get the quest? :]
---------------------
To all, the walkthrough that you make doesn't need to be a walkthrough for a quest. The walkthrough does not need to be for a game with quests either. It can be a walkthrough for a game that doesn't have quests. It can even be a walkthrough on one aspect of a game (that doesn't even have quests).
Alright, everybody who needed "Armatar Exchange" because of classic Armatars in this thread should be taken care of from this point. If you're not, please @Ferret me in this post asking nicely.
