This thread will serve as the Signups and the discussion for the game Double Danger.
How to Play:
- Two six sided dice will be used to play. (The "revolvers")
- There will be a selected number that will serve as the "bullet".(EX: 3)
- Each player rolls both of the dice.
- If he/she rolls the selected number in at least one of the dice, they will be eliminated from the round.
- The last player remaining in the game will be the winner of the round.
Rules:
- Each player must post two consecutive times.
- Each round will last four days.
- Each round will have a different selected number.
- One season, or one whole game will be five rounds long, or 20 days long. The rounds consist of: Starters, Selection, Quarters, Semifinals, Finals.
- If a player is eliminated, he/she will have to remain inactive from the game until the remainder of the season.
-There can be a maximum of 20 players per season.
NOTE: Signups for Season 3 have begun! It will end in three days.
Edit: Rule 5 of the game has been modified. Instead of having to change your armatar, you will have to stay inactive instead. This is to ensure that those with rare armatars can play.
The Signups and tournament have been moved up one day. Signups will end on Saturday at midnight. The tournament will begin on Saturday, May 30, 4:00 PM EST.
That rule had been changed. Instead of changing his/her Armatar, the eliminated player must stay inactive for the remainder of the season (up to 20 days).
I was linked to the game thread, so I posted the questions there. Didn't even know about this. apl, I've @ 'd you there but anyway, if you are reading this, go check them out.
-- What happens if many players (i.e. 3 or 4) roll the "bullet" number in the same round. Are all of them eliminated? That would make the game last fewer rounds.
-- Why do we have to post twice? Just once with both dice is good. The second time would technically be another round. Aside from not making it double danger but quadruple danger (I mean, there is just 1 out of 6 numbers that you must NOT roll, with 4 DICE! A bit hard ain't it? We will all be eliminated in the first two rounds)
--If there is a penalty for losing, at least give a reward for winning.
--Also, leave the signups open for a little longer and delay the start of the season.
1. If three or four players roll the "bullet" number, then they are all eliminated. However, there can be a maximum amount of 20 players in this game, which increase the chance of more players later in the game.
2. When you post twice, that originally meant that you rolled one dice in your first post, then rolled another in the next post. I'll change that rule to avoid confusion.
