Ahh but no. If God is all knowing, then he would have the insight to know that it would be bad for us. And he would never give us something that is bad for us. So to say that he would give us something that would turn out bad for us is saying that his reasoning is wrong. Which isn't possible.
But things we see are bad can actually turn out good. I don't think I need to give an example?
Noah's story might have been real, but it doesn't prove the existence of god. they really are unrelated, because every religion can say that their god told him, if there was a god that told him. Look up the Discovery Channel special on this.
But things we see are bad can actually turn out good.
True, then we might see them as bad, but in reality they are good. So you can't really say that God can give us a bad gift. It would have to be a good gift, that we could then misconstrue as bad. It is our reasoning that would fail, not Gods.
well, if you believed in god, you could say that he was just giving you a gift, and maybe it depends on your point of view whether its a good gift or not.

But it wouldn't depend on your view. If God is giving you a gift, it would have to be good because God cannot do evil. You could say that you might think it is bad, but it would be wrong, and so would your point of view.
I would have to say that it was the power of what is good and what isn't (some people call this a heart or soul). In addition I agree with you carlie God couldn't give a bad gift.
