No, because not all people are able to do this. The gift would have to be something that every person has. We have intellect to make the decision ourself as to whether or not we will go to heaven or hell (or purgatory).

Well yea, but I think what the point of the thread was, is that we are supposed to have one special gift that puts us above other beings. We have life, but so does an animal. So the gift in question cannot be life. It must be special and unique to humans above animals.

I would LOVE to be immortal. You can't imagine how much I want it. Worst gift ever to give me life so I develop it and take it away.
