Mine would have to be Metallica's album Metallica (the black album)because it has Enter Sandman (my 2nd favorite), Sad But True (my favorite), and then holier than thou (I just plain love that song!)

I couldn't decide between The Final Countdown by Europe and The Platinum Collection by Queen, but I'll go with The Final Countdown because The Platinum Collection is more like 3 albums.

It could be argued that the black album is rock not metal because bands like ACDC that are now considered rock/classic rock were once considered metal.

But in my opinion the greatest rock album of all time would definitely have to be Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin. You should really listen to it all the way through instead of only paying attention to Stairway To Heaven.
