Please ask me what I learned in school every day, I will answer nothing.

I must say that most people don't notice when the learn somthing but they do learn!

Well then, Drace, you are obviously an exception to this. You're smart enough to know what you need to learn and learn it all by yourself (or at least outside of school). If you are truly being held back in school, then why are you in school? You either know everything there is to learn in school (in which case you could easily figure out a way to get out of school and move on to college or something) or you believe what you're being taught isn't relavant. I guess if you believe the latter then, you're right, school isn't for you. If you think there are more important subjects out there, go ahead and go for it, go out there and learn what you think you need to learn...I mean, what are you doing on an internet gaming forum? I'd think that with school being such a huge waste of time, you'd need to take all the time you can to pursue your own goals. Am I wrong?

Or a subtle thing...maybe you misspelled a word and now, noticing that, your subconscious is extra-aware and will reduce how often you misspell it. By the way, skills like that aren't compiled by the brain right away...that's what sleep is for. During sleep, your subconscious brain is pretty much "Defragging" itself...throwing away useless stuff, and rearranging and organizing your synapses for easier access to skills and information. You don't notice this because your brain distracts you with a fancy made-up situation to keep your consciousness occupied.

I remember one time, I fell asleep, saw a picture of an atom in my consciousness for about ten seconds, then woke up 8 hours later. I guess I either didn't learn much that day, or maybe my brain ran out of dream ideas XD.

So, yah, just because you don't directly remember anything from school doesn't mean you don't subconsciously remember it.

Please think before you post. You are offering nothing constructive to the thread. If you really believe that this thread is useless to the point of needing to be locked you'd go contact a mod via profile rather than post here. Even if a mod were to see this, do you really think they need your opinion? Really, what value does your post have other than 1 AP?

Ya, you guys are wrong about hating school. I know its not your favorite thing to do, but you should be glad to go to school! There are so many kids like you who would die to go to school for a year! And my schools good. It has a few evil teachers like every school, (:P) but I get a really good education and all my friends! I love math, so I don't mind that class, and my homeroom teacher this year is SUPER nice! Her name is Mrs. Smiley, (for real,) and she gives candy and talks about football and other stuff with us!
The only positive thing about school is being able to see my friends...
Did you ever think of this: If you didn't go to school, you probably wouldn't know almost ALL of your friends!

I can't quit, can I? How bout that good job I need so I can support a family!

Well considering I'm going to grow up and my intelligence is going to be used for profit, its hard to be motivated.

Well then, Drace, you are obviously an exception to this.

Ok, as of every one else, they still say that it is boring. Thats an issue, because they are the ones that we need to educate, and if they think its boring...well ehh...theres a problem.

I really think the things we learn in school are seriously pointless.
All the way up to 4-5th grade, you learn 3 year old stuff. Some reading, and multiplication. These years are the most important, because kids develop on from here the most.

If you give them easy stuff and let them goof off, what are they going to learn...The first few years should be serious.

I had like 1-2 hours of homework back then...in the 1st grade! Here, the homework is pointless anyway. Coloring in maps does not help, lol!

Ok I learned nothing up to 6th grade, now for Junior High. 7th grade, I hardly remember the history I learned, lol actually I hardly even remember the subject! In science, hardly anything I remember. It had to do with plants though! Math, ok I learned quite a lot here. Its an exception though, because I adore math English, well I read 2 books in English class. Time wasted of course. I'm not the only one, everyone else as well. I'm actually the one with good memory.

There should be serious reforms to the system.

I cant dedicate myself in school when it means I'm just going to end up making some one else more money.

If you actually dedicate yourself enough, then you will be the one making the money in the end. If you want to give up on school, just make sure you learn the burger goes in between the two buns. Seriously, without an education, you will go no where. Maybe your parents could get a good job but not in today's society. There is much more competition and you are not going anywhere without a high school diploma.

School is pretty much pointless. Those with straights As I still see as stupid.

Why the hell are you taking this out on kids who actually try in school? You may see them as stupid but nearly everyone else sees them as smart. That person is someone who is willing to learn, dedicated, confident, hard-working, and so many other things. Compare that to a kid who fails.

The education system sucks.
Back in my homeland, we'd learn 3 languages by the 4-5th grade!

Okay, so we suck because we don't learn languages at an early age. The reason for this is because most Americans stay in America. They focus mainly on English since that is our language. In other countries, there are many people who go to other countries so they teach other languages instead of focusing on just one.

Here, lol a few know a foreign language by end of high school.

It depends what they want to go into. If they want to go into business, then they should learn some other languages. If they are going to work on cars, they don't need to learn another language.

It teaches us writing and math -.-
It makes us learn equations which I can get off a book 50 faster and makes us write pointless writing and get graded for it.

Schools teach a lot more then that. Most people think school is just for knowledge. It is to help you become an adult. Better yet, it prepares you for the real world. You do get graded in the real world. The schools are nice compared to adult work. Also, if you learn faster that way, why did you even go to school? I mean you are just too smart for school.

Can I go to a college without going to school?

I was using the languages being learned at an early age as an example. Sure we don't really need the population to speak to many languages but instead of kiddy stuff, kids should do something more serious.

Hello, home schooling. You can still go to college and you learn material at your own pace. If you hate schools so much, why go to them?

At a young age, shoving information down their throats is not going to help anything. They might be smarter but they will not get along, at all. I will say this again. Schools are not only there to teach you information. They help you become social, responsible, have good time management, and many other aspects that you will need as an adult. The kiddy stuff is just to get you going.

I am definitely going to have to disagree with you to point on this statement. Yes the teachers have to make learning the information interesting or otherwise we aren't going to actually learn it. That's only to a certain extent though. School isn't boring to everyone, it isn't to me. So if school is boring to someone that's the kid's fault, not the school's fault.

Well either you are claiming to know all there is to learn in school or you don't think it is important. Which is it, because if you know everything there is, then yes, you can quit.

Come on, really, that isn't even an argument. You claim you want to learn and you can't in school. Do you honestly feel the AG forums are the best place to recieve an education?

Well considering I'm going to grow up and my intelligence is going to be used for profit, its hard to be motivated.

If you aren't motivated, how is school holding you back? I don't understand.

Course not, but its still something. Ag lets me hold conversations

Well I should really hit the books, but call me lazy if you want. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

But school is just a waste of my 7 hours of time. I CAN do a lot more in that 7 hours, but your right I really don't and I should.
