Not being a gamer, I've never heard of a Mazzelh before! Pray tell, where does it come from? I'm quite interested, not least because you obviously know how to draw.

Strop; It's not from any existing game, though I would love to see a game with mazzelhs in it at some point (my programming skills = n00b, so can't make one). It's a specie from a fantasy world of mine.

For all the people who have never heard about mazzelhs: that's the hole point of this thread, getting more people to know about them. ;3
It is a specie of my own creation, less than five hundred people so far have heard of them... But I'm working on that.

For those who are interested, there is a downloadable description file (with drawings, gasp!) in .odt (OpenOffice) file format here.

Also, the images posted so far have been of humanoid (or anthropomorphous) mazzelhs, the critters usually looks like this:

Those are young ones (equivalent to teenagers) and a single adult. The second from the left is severely overweight, that's not how they normally look.

Mazzelh with wings attached. No, they don't normally have wings, it's a spell of some sort.

They are really cool but how did you get the idea?

I just don't like the hair in the back, cause they are bald on top makes them look like old men sometimes. Other than that I really love them!
