Oh yeah, I am also reading the book Left Behind, but it is too religious for me. It is okay, but it sort of preaches to you about god and Jesus, and that takes away from the story, because you sort of lose the storyline.
Beyond the Burning Land- John Christopher. I just finished the Tripods trilogy by John Christopher, and decided to start "The Sword of Spirits" trilogy. I'm enjoying it so far.
Currently reading "The Looking Glass Wars" by Frank Beddor, which is the realversion of Alice in Wonderland and "Fat" I cant remember who its by right now. Also, just finished "Amusing Ourselves to Death" by Neil Postman and the "City of Bones","City of Light" ect trilogy
It's a French graphic novel, translated into English. Set in the time of Julius Caesar's conquering, all Gaul (ancient France) is occupied by one little village standing out stubbornly against the Roman invaders. The inhabitants of the village (particularly Asterix, Obelix, and Getafix) have many adventures usually involving the Romans. it's funny, lots of witty cracks and a whole lot of whacking the Romans with a clean sweep, thanks to the magical potion brewed by Getafix the druid. Yep, it's a nice series, and is translated into many languages. check it out if you like.
