My personal opinion is that guns are just fine. Guns help us provide security for our families if something ever happens, but I want to here your opinions.
Uzi maybe, just because it's a crappy gun, but what's wrong with AK's. People think they're bad because of movies, but in reality, more crimes are committed with handguns, only some idiot who's seen too many action movies uses an AK. I shoot them just for fun, and before anyone freaks out, it's only semi-auto, and perfectly legal.
Zerato, there are many more ways Cho could have been stopped in a non violent way. Guns don't need to be used in self protection, and in fact, there are a lot better methods than a gun.
It is not! It is widely regarded as the best sub-mechane gun in the world, and for good reason. It is not an assault rifle and should not be used as one. Sorry about the spelling, English is my first language.
Uzi's are so unreliable!! I can't see why anyone would want one other than just for show. I love high-powered firearms... But they are expensive to use especially a .50 cal. It costs about one dollar per bullet. I love using a Russian S.K.S sub-machine gun. I can't remember the full name of that gun, but it's a blast to shoot! It will obliterate anything!!! (WARNING!! Use ONLY under supervision of a trained professional!)
Maybe because it's their job? And personally, I have never seen a police officer with a firearm more extravagant than a handgun. You know why? Because handguns get the job done.

Another problem. How many people do you think get a hold of these guns for recreational purposes, and then use them under decent supervision?
Plenty of people do. I don't have any statistics, but a lot of it is just common sense. Point it downrange at all time, if you handle it in any way, before you are ready to shoot, make sure it's unloaded. Use ear protection, and don't shoot yourself, or your buddy in the foot. That and never pointing it at others has worked out pretty well for me. It just takes proper education.
