My personal opinion is that guns are just fine. Guns help us provide security for our families if something ever happens, but I want to here your opinions.
i for one like to hunt with well guns!! guns are more like tools. the people are bad not the guns. think would you rather give a gun to an nice (not insane) person or a crazy man that hates you.
@Justinlee999. Guns don't cause murders. That's like saying pencils and pens cause bad grades. It's all about the person and taking the gun away, doesn't take away the motive, or the means.
Personally, if I were to be murdered, I'd choose a gun. Getting hacked to death with a machete seems much more painful. And slower. And messier. But still kinda cooler.
um neither... guns are good and bad.. good because we can get food easier, at least people who hunt.. bad because of the widespread violence that came along with it.. but the guns arent good or bad, the person that uses the gun makes it good or bad..
it depends on the use of it. if its for criminal, it bad. if its for protection of the family, its good. but i have seen Dr. Phil where someone's son found the gun loaded and shot himself so. it should be well hidden.
I've been shooting since I was seven years old (I'm now 32 and ex-military). I never once pulled the "take out gun to show off to friends" maneuver that is often the sad motivation behind gun accidents with children. I've seen some folks claim that traditionally, that show off factor with guns is a male behavior. While I see what those peeps mean, I think in my case it has more to do with being a taught healthy respect (i.e. fear) of the power a gun as a TOOL can wield. I was educated properly on gun usage and safety from the get go. I may e a lef tof center type of gal but it's the one topic I can tick off my fellow liberlish types with fairly quickly.
THe more guns they outlaw the more those guns end up in criminal's hands. THat said, I don't really see a reason for average joe blow to have an Uzi.
Yeah, pistols are fine. If you hunt, then you can have a rifle. Other than that, I don't see the need to have guns. Sure, I understand that you can get a few kicks out of mowing down some old beat up car with some big automatic weapon, but it's just not my thing.
Not my thing either but I appreciate my right to have them should I decide to pruchase one. I'm in the camp of people who very much think the "founding fathers" meant "militia" in terms of defend ourseles against an overzealous government. THe way things are going in the states these days, I figure it's about 20-50 years before I seriously wish I own one (in 50 years I'll be 82 and hopefully dead).
