Hello again, community.
I haven't seen a thread regarding animations here, sorry if it has been made before.
I figured it would be nice to have a place to post animations, so here goes. Of course they need to be made by you, not stolen somewhere off of the interweb.
Hmm, if there's enough animators on here, we could make a contest...

I'll go first, posting the first real animation I've done. It's composed of 21 frames (looping in a way that doesn't really make sense, because I was too lazy), each frame drawn in Photoshop, then opened in the GIMP and exported as a .gif.
I tried to get a sense of how velocity works...

Now if only I could draw using a mouse...I have asked my friend who is going to Phuket to have a loook for a cheapish tablet...like a $20 one...(like she'll find one) for me! Hahahahahaha!

Nah, blood is okay, in this context. I would make the faery wings flap around a bit. The arrow going SHOOM *splat* is lulz.

Yep...I am thinking of extending it...Although I think making Wings flap may be slightly too complex for me...I am a GIMP noob!

I am possibly going to make a big animation to reflect on this past term and all of the happenings in my life...

Yep! I made that in Pivot! The music is me on my recorder...notice how it is a duet! Wow! SuperSpecialAwesome Audacity Skills! xD

@KingRyan, did you do the voice yourself? its kinda funny. :P


The voice is a reference to Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time. If you have played it you will know about the annoying faery called Navi who helps...well more hinders...you on your quest. That is where the 'Hey Listen' comes from!

Stopmotion would indeed count, personally I really like that form of animation. It's a slightly different category, but it does require a neat set of skills too, so yes.

@ExboMarker:
Not sure which one you are referring to, but the majority of animations in this thread are made in GIMP (I think).
