I do not think any country could invade the US. Every house you go to they have atleast a gun in the house. In the South its different. Theres bout 5 guns or more in each house. Does anyone agree with me?
I would not say a Golden Age my friend. This country can hardly stay out of war for more than 20 years! HAve you heard of Pax Romana? This translates to Roman Peace. The 200 year period of no war and great evolution in technology and intelligence all started with Augustine. (I'm pretty sure) That's right 200 years of absolutely no wars. The US has had a war every 20 years.
Egyptians before or the Babylonians, Romans, etc. All of which crumbled down
Of course all of their empires have lasted longer than the US has so far. We're only 200 or so years old. The Roman Empire was around for 1,000 years. Well the western Roman Empire did. The Babylonians weren't as long, but the Egyptians lasted a few hundred years.
Sure because the Romans came and hogged evrything! Egypt was pretty self-running they had plentyof food and a very powerful army (not as powerful as the Romans!) If the Romans wouldnt have attack, Egypt may have made it to the Medevil Age
Every nation could progress as far as you can think if it wasn't for war. War is what destroys empires, countries, etc. War will destroy America eventually. Many will think the US is a powerhouse and cannot be defeated. That's what the wall of Europe and Asia thought of Persia. Persia was the US of the past. They had a huge army, advanced technology and war tatics. But they were defeated. It can most definately happen to the US.
I still stand by my point. WE have the best military. WE have the most nuclear bombs, probably the most tanks,planes,etc,etc. I dont think itll happen. The US will probably fall after the good lord takes us to heaven.

The Persians werent as great as u make them out to be. Granted they did have a huge army but their general staff were useless and as for tactics, well lets just say the Battle of Marathon.( I love that part of history
But as to whether the US could be invaded. Yes potentially but it would be very difficult. In WGs the simulated way of attacking the US would be from their west coast. You would have to sail to alaska. Set up shop there and work your way down through Canada or at least that was one of Russias plans during the cold war. However I cant see it happening. If it came to a war with anyone the US would probably take the fight to them.
As for the best military in sheer size and equipment, yes probably. But in proportion to many other of the worlds militaries? The US could be better. It has some major problems that it needs to sort out.
The cold war was not a war >_> Russia and US had no military plans for attacking. Maybe they devised one just in case I suppose.
Trust me i have it on good authority that this is their plan. Speaking to some American pilots back in GF that is what they are still worried about. Also i never said it was a war did I? That was just their plan of action discounting nukes of course. And its not in as great a state as you think. It is split down the middle with people with next war itis wanting to spend more money and people who want to spend as little as possible and economise. It needs to sort out its priorities as this leads to major logistical imbalances in the field.
Canada probably would help but i doubt they would be able to hold back the Soviets for very long on their own..
Were a democratic Republic. This helps us in no way when in a war or any big issue for that matter. Who considers a countries political system when invading them anyway? Mmm, and almost every other country is a republic as well.

2. I agree with those of you that say America won't last forever. Nothing does. Fortunately, we're a democracy, so maybe we'll last a bit longer than other countries have lasted, but who can say?
