It is recommended that you drink at least 1 glass of water every hour during the daylight hours every day.
The reason for this is because when you start to fell you're mouth get dry, and you are thirsty, then you are already dehydrated. So that's why you want to drink water even when you're not thirsty, in fact, you don't WANT to drink water when you're thirsty because you don't want to be thirsty. Also when you get to the point of dehydration/being thirsty, it is un healthy and very wearing on you're body.
There is a condition that can cause over fluid in the body if you drink far too much water...
Well i hardly think 8-10 glasses will do that. Last time I checked it was around 4-6 gallons that started to get deadly.
But mostly just makes you urinate more than needed..
I think that is worth it if you are protecting you're health. And plus, it's not more than needed, because that is how much you are supposed to be drinking, so there fore we can conclude that is how much you should be urinating.

Some people die from hyperhydration because the cells of their digestive tract actually fill up with water and burst. This can only happen if you chug water for hours on end, though.
But this is a very good and undermentioned point for health. Thank you for bringing it up, Ricador.
Actually, as a runner, I drink a TON of water. I'll drink 32 ounces (2 bottles' worth) at lunch alone, and I drink a bunch at home and in between classes, cause you lose a ton when you run distance.
