I know alot of people avoid thees posts about GOD and Heaven but I just want to know peoples oppions about heaven.Do you belive there is a heaven and if you do what do you think its like?
Hear hear, Thoad! The Bible is just one reality. If you are talking about Muslims, then you are even blasfemious to your own religion. Hell and Heaven is defined by religion, individual beliefs, orms, ethics and culture. Which means that something the bible might consider a sin could be the uttermost precious in another religion. If you believe in the Bible, then you are going to end up in a Heaven/Hell descibed in the Bible, just as an Atheist would end up... Dead, and nothing more. Remember, there is can way, this can be concluded, as Christians do not end up in Heaven before Judgement Day. It is an open question, so do not pull your belief over the head of others.

do follow you on that. I am a believer of both evolution and creationism. I believe that God created life. But not Adam and Eve. I believe he created all celestial bodies, and the first living cell. That evolved over years and years until the coming of small creatures.
ok if you knew the very basis of evolution and beleived it then god would be a horribe terrible person. Im a christian and a creationist and think about it evolution is basicly one species killing every other one. I think that there is a Heaven. If Heaven and hell did not exist, then the life that we are living right now is all that there is going to be. If this life is all that there is, then we would have no motive to do right, or be kind to others since we would not have to answer for our actions when we die. Also, if this life is all that there is, then death would be extremely scary. For most Christians, death is not a horror as it is with non-Christians, because we know where we are going when we die; death is merely a doorway into better world for Christians.

Whereas I take the stance of, "Yeah, it would suck, but it's the only thing that makes sense, so..."

Razaki, i was mostly sharing my thoughts. And, if what you say is true, that there is only this life and none other, then why do people need to be kind to others? If this is the only life, then, why not 'live it up' and do what you want?
