I know alot of people avoid thees posts about GOD and Heaven but I just want to know peoples oppions about heaven.Do you belive there is a heaven and if you do what do you think its like?
Heaven is akin to the concept of infinity to me as I refuse to con myself into believing a bunch of stories written about people thousands of years ago, therefore I have the perfect solution wait until you die, if you see either A. tall dude with wings and halo B. red minotaur with horns and a pointy tail with flames everywhere you may assume everything you read is true.
So you rather burn in hell for the rest of eternity , or go to heaven?
I'm no expert on the subject of after life, but I'm pretty sure that both going to heaven and hell would qualify as after life. And, to quite Lufffi...

Thank you. This is my exact opinion on the matter. An eternity is worthless, as you have no way out. Whats there to eternity when everything gets old, and yet you still have to live? If there truly was a heaven, then eternity wouldn't be part of it for me.

Read the post. That's not whats being said. The choice is to simply not have an afterlife. You may be so stuck in Christian ideals and not think that's possible, but whats being said is that it'd be better if it was simply over when you died. Sheer nothingness, as in no thought, conscience or feeling. You're just gone.
It does exist. Read the Bible if you want to know what its like.

Hmmm the question is...how do you know? How do you know your going to heaven?
Ive heard so many stupid reasons...You go to heaven because you go to church? You go to heaven because you are a good person? No. You go to heaven for being baptized and believing christ is your savior. Not for any other stupid reason. Just as the story of the beggar and the rich man, you get one life. One life to either follow, or ignore. God says everyone, at least once hears of god, and is their choice to believe or turn away. Its your choice
Well... heaven that is a funny topic. Could it be the sadist's wet dream? The concoction of evils within society itself prevents the "ure" thought of Heaven taking form. Sure we can assume there will be a place called "heaven" when we die due to some ink on a page, but Heaven is also the very thing that causes us to be "fake" and through that sin. The irony is quite troubling isn't it?
The problem with heaven is that we can not really be sure whether it exists or not, but instead to get into it, I have to worship an all powerful being, as essentially a slave would to his/her master. From a scientific viewpoint, I don't believe in heaven, our brains develop what are called neurons, which are the reason for thinking, and our thoughts, memories, and everything else that makes us, mentally, who we are. We then create this place, with our wonderful imagination, where you go after you die. First of all it appears to me that this is the fantasy for people who fear death, and to a certain degree they should fear dieing to an extent. But when we die, those neurons, and everything else in our body decays, with the body itself. The neurons containing this fantasy are now gone. The heaven that they created is gone, however it does live in other people's minds now. Perhaps, though, there is some other element that we don't yet understand about our universe yet.
anyway based off of T-pain's lyrics, I would have to say, that Heaven is a place where you believe in and it is set to your standards, it is to calm you down and be a good person, imo. Anyway if people found out heaven was just a load of BS now, the world would be in a state of chaos and upheaval. Heaven for me is just monetary gain and motivation.
