Does any one else have any views or opinions about that?

^Then I can't believe your article, as EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET is posted by people with their own interests. If you don't believe the Wikipedia article, check the sources it cites. And I read some of that info - they still can't directly link global warming with human activity, they just try to say "Because the earth is getting hotter, and because we're polluting, the two most be linked!!!1!11zomg!" instead of actually proving that there is a direct correlation between amount of pollution produced, amount of temperature change, and this not being another one of Earth's natural climate changes. The environment has such a massive buffering capacity that for us to think we have a huge impact and can change it is overestimating our capabilities.

Wiki is very informative, yet only on Facts. Not proof. I'mma checked the Site, Calm, all I saw was history records linking to what there is now. the world changes so much, that It doesn't follow Historic Patterns.

I'm with Megamickel on this one.

well.... I don't want to irritate anybody, but since the USA are the worst polluters in the world and refused to sign the Kyoto protocol... I believ they have interests in saying that global warming is not in realtion with pollution... at least your government does.

To return to the previous subject, let's suppose that global warming has nothing to do with pollution. Does it mean that we mustn't act to prevent it and let thousands, millions of people die?

How will millions of people die? We as humans will adapt to whatever conditions the Earth throws at us. Humans are surprisingly very adaptable, that's why we've become the dominant species on the planet. The warming will fizzle off and the earth will get cooler again, as has happened hundreds of times in history.

I don't know if we are so much adaptable as we just change the environment to fit us. Which is inevitably going to kill everything else off.

I think global warming is just wat some old crome made up when she got bored...then some adults believed her and started spreading...then everyone thinks it true even tho its nothing more than a load of bull shit, lol

Yes, I agree with Asherlee. We can adapt to changes to a point. But if we continue the path we are on now, the changes will be so utterly dramatic, we may not be able to change in time. Have you seen the movie Day After Tomorrow? It is actually surprisingly scientifically accurate, besides the fact that it only takes a month for it to happen in movie (real life will take a bit longer). But the actual weather changes, sea level rises and salinity thrown out of wack, glaciers coming in from the North. That is actually what will happen. in the

I agree with both Carlie and Asherlee. They speak truth!! ^_^

Btw, when i said millions of people would die, it's because global warming will cause massive inondations in bangladesh and netherlands. Loads of cities will drown and endemic illnesses will see their action spread throughout the world.

Global warming is nothing more than scaremongering. I keep trying to say this, yet you people have bought into everything that's told you. The earth has natural climate changes over periods of time. The ice ages were very dramatic climate changes, yet did we do anything to bring that on? Nope. Global warming is just something else that the government is using to take taxpayers' money to line their own pockets. One of the things I fear most is a carbon tax. If that happens, I'll lose all faith in our government. Not that I have much left anyways.
