Hmm, I believe I remember seeing something that Earth has gone through a period of heating and warming for centuries. I do believe someone else in this thread has talked about the ice age meeting up with peak of the heating period. What goes around comes around.

Sushi, it is important to remember that human-influenced greenhouse gases are being released at an increased rate. That DOES affect the atmosphere, but we are not the SOLE cause for the Global Climate Change (Thanks Carlie!). The earth does have natural cycles, but we are contributing to it as well.
I personally don't think that global warming exists, did exist, or ever will. I agree with sushihair that it is a myth. whether it is or not, there is nothing any politician or scientist can do about it. If something happens, it happens.

Oh really? And what research have you done on the subject? It is indisputable that CO2 levels are increasing in the atmosphere, and indisputable that we are the cause of that. And yes, these increased levels are affecting our climate.

Seriously, talk to any atmospheric scientist, and they will tell you that global warming is real. They do not dispute anymore. The only naysayers are the ones that get paid by the gas companies. Its really not a question of if global warming does or does not exist at this point. Every agrees on it now. The question is now that we know what we have done, what can we do to help fix it?

Never say research says it all if you don't even show proof. Of course the sun will get hotter but that is in a few billion years when it turns into a red giant. However, right now, we are destroying our atmosphere which is intensifying the effects of the cooling and warming period. By the time we go into a cooling period, there could be some changes.
