i dont beleive in global warming because i think that it is so gradual that by the time it is dangerous the next ice age will counter act it

Does any one else have any views or opinions about that?

First off, according to Wikipedia, "Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans." It is proven that Earth's temperature is rising, therefore, global warming does exist and is happening.

Moving on...

As far as humans contributing to global warming goes, I will break it down percentage wise: About .6% of global warming is man-made, while 99.4% is natural. So even if everyone in the world owned a hybrid, we'd still only be preventing it by less than .6%.

Now, I'm not trying to put out a bad message. Don't get the wrong idea that you can go pollute our world all you want. Keep in mind that it is our homeland.

No matter what the case, we should respect and take care of our home, Earth.

If you're referring to the natural capacity of the earth's atmosphere to retain heat, then those numbers wouldn't surprise me. We need to keep in mind, however, that the consequences of that additional 0.6% can have severe impacts on the balance of nature, even if that only entails an average increase of a few degrees.

But Global Warming is becoming like a religion. - So it could be a new religion! People keep going on and on about it, but some scientists have found out that world is going colder NOT warmer!

But Global Warming is becoming like a religion. - So it could be a new religion! People keep going on and on about it, but some scientists have found out that world is going colder NOT warmer!


Everything could be a religion then. We keep going on and on about it because we need to start changing to be more eco-friendly. Global warming is a bad name. It should be global climate change. The temperatures were cooler in the winter and should be hotter this summer. I am already having 90 degree temperatures and the average is 83 for July.

I don't quite catch what you are saying here. Maybe it is because I am tired. You said global warming is not going to happen and then you said "I mean in long term." Possibly are you saying the world is going colder in long term? I am so confused.

Do you really think people would do that? Also, most people live 20-30 miles from their work. It needs to be a change that everyone will do. We can't stop global warming but just weaken our impact on it.

I beleive the iceburgs are melting but if they melt they probably won't come all the up to Florida

That is where you are wrong. The rising sea levels will affect every ocean coastal city. To put it in simpler terms, you have a bucket of water. You put two boats in that are floating. You add some water (icebergs melting). Both boats are going to rise a little bit from the added water, not just one.

real quick... How can you not "believe" in global warming? is it like some kind of religious benefactor or something. Global warming is a fact. You can say that "I Don't think that global warming is going to kill us all, but you just can't "believe" in it.

You argue a very good point, though, but by the time all if this happens, we will all be rotting corpses in the ground, so I really don't care.

I don't quite know if that point is a good one. While what thepyro222 said is true, that we will all be dead by the time it happens, we are supposed to become more ecologically friendly for our posterity.

Also, WE are the people who have to start changing our lifestyles now. The more we ignore it, the worse it gets. If we wait until we are dead, it will be way too late for future generations to do anything about it.

I believe in Global warming, but and again I say but I believe that humans are just a small factor in the Global Warming Crisis. It has already been proven that 1 Volcano eruption will put out more pollution then we could in 10 years.
