The greatest song ever

I loved that song because it contained everything that I thought was right in America. Now that Obama has been elected, I am very disappointed in my country. As of now, I am taking down the american next to Agent_86 and replacing it with the Filipino flag(for any questions about why the Filipino flag, ask me on my profile).

I AM NO LONGER PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN.

Still... I can't argue that the U.S is the "best" country in the world. One reason is that we're too selfish (and too lazy. We hardly made physical protests for the war).

Because most think the war is a fight for "democracy" and support the US >_>

I guess we're too dumb, then. The gov't spewed the same bull during the vietnam war, and now we know it was a lie. It's happening again, and we somehow believe its a good cause even though history shows it's for a less virtuous cause.

You were never proud to begin with. You worthless piece of trash.

As tired as I am about this, Flaming is NEVER allowed on the forums AT ALL TIMES, so I suggest you quit. If it's his idea to be anti-patriotic about his country, then he has the right to leave. We are not like North Korea and forbid anyone to leave. Let him go when he gets the chance, we won't stop him. YOU however need to quit this flaming act of yours.

Never understand why US choose to attack Iraq.
For the endless war in Iraq, only make Iran become more and more influential in the Middle East, so the government of the Islamic Republic is dare to develop nuclear program again which they just given up years ago. Also, the new Iraq government, unlike the Saddam's regime, start to having close tie with Iran.
Where is the benefits for the US government?
Really curious about it causing there is a joke in my country calling Bush is the "SPY" of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to destroy US economy and raising Iran's political influence<_<

Ya we don't understand either. We were tricked into allowing this to happen, through the government pushing fear. I hope the Obama will be able to regain the world's trust and make our relationships with other countries such as Iran friendly. Bush was a diplomatic mistake, he was raised to believe that the middle east was evil, by his father who ran operation desert storm in his day, so I think a conflict in the middle east was inevitable, even if 9/11 didn't happen.

Bush didn't make the Middle East sound evil, That's REALITY! I know many soldiers who were stationed in different parts of the Middle East. They all have stories about the reactions of those people. 9/11 didn't cause Operation Iraqi Freedom. I do hope Obama can help with the Iranian problem, but I'm not keeping up hope...

Using "evil" to describe people of other nations is just a kind of egocentrism......how about considering the whole US are "evil" just due to race discrimination, Islamophobia, or war on Iraq. Sounds fair or not?
But still, I think what you think is really common, the understanding between the Middle East & US also causing them regard other sides are "evil".
You better go to read a book called "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" by Mohsin Hamid, it will tell you why that guys are so "evil."

O_O

For once this country is coming through. I mean, a black president for the first time. It is great that is country can actually not be racist and want a minority to become president.

some think that Obama was elected by "reverse racism". Many whites voted for Obama to make up for the wrongs of the past, and paid no attention to what Obama actually stands for.

I hate the patriotism of some people. They keep saying "Our country is the best" over and over until they believe it. Patriotism is good. Running around saying "Our country is better then yours" is not. Anyway I think having a black president could really help to change the low opinions of the USA that many people from other countries have.
