Everybody is talking about the first black president, but nobody is mentioning Barack Obama's mother. Barack obama's mother is from the plains, and is 100% white. So unless his father is 100% black, then Mr. Obama cannot be considered the first black president.
Obama's father is NOT 100% black. He's not even 50% black. Only one of Obama's great-grandparents is actually black!!!
Therefore, even though Obama may have a good tan, he is the 44th white president of the US.
dude, it all has to do with the color of the skin, not who there parents are. besides, Obama is arabic
Actually, yes its based on what the parents are. And Obama is NOT arabic, his DAD is, Obama was born IN THE US. I cannot stress enough how many times I had to prove this to people, and this is getting to be an increasingly more painful headache.
If he is born somewhere who cares. If i was born on Mars im not a martian man. And you get your info from internet 0_0 and Agent isnt ruining his victory. Hes a very smart guy who wants to show you that you are somewhat stupid lol
How are we stupid? We're acknowledging that yes his ancestry takes away his black roots to an extent, yet his skin is black and he percieves himself to be black. We're not arguing that Obama is kenyan or that Obama is Arabic. He was born in the states and yes his mother is white. His skin colour is black and therefore, he's black.
It isn't so much the color of your skin. Just because he is dark doesn't mean he is black. I was so dark at some points in my life (water polo and swim team) that I looked hispanic. But I'm very white (well now at least) I think as long as you have some blood other than white in you, you can be considered the other race, because whites have mingled with many other races. Like if you mix white paint with any other color, it becomes that color...only lighter haha. Thats a funny way to look at it. Anyways what I'm saying is that we've, for some reason, started labeling people by the races in their blood, other than just plain white. For example people get scholorships for beingNative American...even though they are like 1/16 native american!! Doesn't make sense, but they consider themselves Native American....and they get free college lol.
Yeah i get what you mean flipski. Though tecnically we all have black ancestry, due to eethnic contact etc. but i believe the way flipski said
I think as long as you have some blood other than white in you, you can be considered the other race, because whites have mingled with many other races
Ya thinking about it that way, we are all related...we are all the same species. There was a time when we spread about the globe, and started to change and adapt to our environments and that's why we are different in appearance.
Well, I don't think it works exactly that way, it would go down to which genes he got from each parent, but who would go that far for something like this.
