Everybody is talking about the first black president, but nobody is mentioning Barack Obama's mother. Barack obama's mother is from the plains, and is 100% white. So unless his father is 100% black, then Mr. Obama cannot be considered the first black president.
Obama's father is NOT 100% black. He's not even 50% black. Only one of Obama's great-grandparents is actually black!!!
Therefore, even though Obama may have a good tan, he is the 44th white president of the US.
Cool so he is more white than black?Thats cool I have gotta say 44th white president the 100 th will be in a long time but that one would be very speical.
Dude, hes black, because black people dont necessarily have to be fully black to still be part of the culture. And if you consider obama white, then only like 50% of him runs the country? cuz thats the white part of him. Why dont you compare Bush's skin to Obama's and see how white he is. tanned my ass, hes black.
nobody knows... but if hes a white president, as the idiot agent says, then only that half runs the country. And the guys black. he played basketball on the day of the election..:P
who cares if he's black, white, red, orange, or whatever. it's not a matter of ethnicity or race, it's a matter of political know-how. he seems like a reliable guy who can point this country in the right direction. he's a good politician and he will help this country. (as long as he doesn't get assasinated)
i think he is the first black president. but when a 100% african american canidate is nominated there will be a another big discussion about it. they will say "We've had an african american in office, but never a 100% black president, WOW!" It is just something for the media to debate since the presidency has been relatively the same for over 200 years. Again his race will not affect any of the decisions he has to make. (but that's a debate on checks and balances in government which is off topic)
At the most Obama is mixed race not really black. all this hype about him being the first black president isn't really true but I can see why the black community may find it uplifting but I'm sure there will be some uproar from racists out there.
