Yes. I belive that there is a god somewhere in the stars, and I belive that if you go to church, and repent your sins, you will go up to heaven. And if not, you may still go to heaven unless you have sinned many times and never repneted. Repenting is easy. Just Pray to god: "Dear god, i have sinned. can you forgive me?" And BOOM! thats it. sins are repented.
thoadthetoad, You need a reality check. The Bible is the most historically accurate book of ancient times. Every historical fact mentioned (people, places, events) has been checked and rechecked, and none of them have been labeled false. Now, whether you believe that it is an historic book of a crazy blasphemous preacher and his brainwashed disciples or an historic account of the Son Of God and his followers, is where faith comes in to play.

Weird...So the book that was made out of essays chosen by a bunch of old guys in order to form the most persuasive religion, after being wrongly transcribed and mistranslated by monks for almost two thousand years is the most accurate book ever?
Um,i belive in god,he made the earth, and if he didn't the big boom is the biggest joke in the world.just like throwing puzzle pieces everywhere and expecting the puzzle to be made like that.and scientoligists, isn't that the belief that ALIENS made earth and human? If it is,lol, thats funny.

No, I don't. But, before the printing press appeared, the bible was transcribed by monks into several different languages. I've no doubt that there were mistranslations and spelling errors that went along with this process.

Have you ever studied a foreign language? If something is phrased differently, or if an accent is placed incorrectly, it gives a phrase whole new meaning.

Are you talking about the language it was written in? In which case, the Bible was written in Latin originally, not Filipino.
Or, are you referring to the Phillipians of biblical nature? In that case, I have no clue what you're talking about.
I've no doubt that there were mistranslations and spelling errors that went along with this process.
I have no doubt of that too. However, it should be known that we have a ton of manuscripts of the Bible, the oldest of which date to around the early 2nd century, around 70 years after the death of Christ. The Bible has about 5000 manuscripts supporting it, dating from 70-200 years after Christ's death. So we are able to cross-check them. In addition, many of the letters from the early church fathers like Polycarp, Clement, Ignatius, Iraneus, Origen, and the like are preserved, and these letters have quoted the New Testament so liberally that if we lost all of our NT manuscripts, we could use these letters to piece them together.

Since Parsat answered the heart of your statement. I will say, yes it is the most historically accurate ancient manuscript, that is not in question by any scholar on the earth, no joke. Every place in the bible that is mentioned has either been found or can be referenced by other ancient manuscripts. Not a single person in the bible has ever been proven to be false, and many in the NT can be accounted for by other manuscripts. Again no event has been proven wrong in the bible, and those that can be checked by whatever means have been found. If you can't trust the historical facts in the bible than you can not trust that anything else in the ancient world is true as we know it. (Caesar, Babylonians, Alexander, etc. etc. etc.)
