War maybe scary but if you know were your going wen you die its not as bad.
Too bad we've had so many medical advances since WW2 that a majority of soldiers don't die anymore-they live wounded and limbless. And that's why we now have so many problems with Veteran Affairs.
4,000 is huge, but I wonder just how many have lost a limb or suffer from PTSD after going there.
more people died on d-day...more people have been murdered in America during the time of the war..more babies ahve been aborted..thats an extremely small number
4,000 deaths is still a lot of people. That's taking all of the kids in my high school, and killing them twice. It's sad that any lives had to be wasted on a pointless war.
I was in the Navy (4 years active, 2 reserves). It isn't what it used to be. Maybe if the government stops using the military recklessly, it will become good again.

I'm not saying it isn't a lot but it isn't an extremley large amount compared to a lot of statistics of other deaths
And it's not a completley pointless war we have uncovered WMD's
