It depends. after the baby is born, can't they take the stem cell out?

Hmmmm honistly im not as smart as some of you in cell research but if it means killing unborn babys im against it.

nobody wants to kill babies unless they kill babies

Well, some stem cell research doesn't include killing babies

They just use already aborted babies. For gods sakes...

But that brings around the question is abortion "right."

abortion isn't right. In my opinion it's murder. unfortunately, there are many people that choose abortion. is it not better to use the murdered baby for something useful rather than wasting it? Are you familiar of how we get our chicken eggs? The artificially grown egg will never actually let an egg creep out of its shell. We should use the same principle with our human "eggs".

sorry [The artificially grown egg will never actually let an egg]. Retarted typo. Chick is what I meant

i would agree with that which is why i think embryonic stem cell research needs to be shut down. However if i'm correct about being able to take stem cells from adults backs then we should spend a lot of time on that.

as iPC said earlier, adult cells are different than embrionic cells. I agree that unless we find a way to not kill babies and do embrionic stem cell research at the same time, embrionic stem cell research should halt.

Unlike genetic screening, stem cell therapy has been a center of debate in many communities. To most people, the death of vulnerable humans and children** for the benifit of others is cruel. Stem Cell therapy has turned many people against the rapid advance of science in the medical field, because they feel that it is unethical and brutal to harm weak guiltless beings for the benifit of others who, according to skeptics, have no right to that benifit. Of course, SCT (Stem Cell Therapy) could be used in a more balanced way, which wouldn't harm anyone, and benifit the greater population. It is ethically acceptable to use stem cells from adult human beings, but using stem cells from fetuses is not, it is even illegal! This law, however, should not affect the efficiency of the therapy, because adult stem cells are more helpful to patients than embryonic stem cells.

For medical research, embryonic stem cells prove to be more useful as they are adaptable and can produce cells of every tissue of the body, while adult stem cells' abilities are more limited to the blood, intestines, skin and muscles.

Stem cells can be used when a person suffers from an injury in which their tissues are completely destroyed and must be replaced. Stem cells produce new tissues that are exactly the same as the former ones.

SCT is also used to cure many diseases that would otherwise be incurable such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, diabetes, spinal cord injury, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, cancer, and burns.

I read some where that by using stem cell research they have discovered a possible cure to debeties. They are testing it on mice, and it is working fine. They will try primates next. It supposedly makes more insulin giving cells in your body to restore your insuline count.

@FutureUSMC

Embryonic stem cells can cure anything, the cost, of course, is the lives of pure, innocent infants. Diabetes is just one of the many diseases SCT can cure.

I would be behind on one condition: laws are put in place. Horrible things could happen otherwise.

Skyla, did you do research on the subject? The only way to get the stem cell(s), you have to kill an unborn baby. Despite all that it would cure, it is not right. Some people may look at it as a way for birth control in a rapidly growing world.

Birth control? Are they not only using already aborted fetuses?
I don't see any way it could turn into a way of birth control...

Personally I'm all for the sacrifice of undeveloped lives to help get around those diseases.

But seriously, cure any disease? Maybe any that is caused by degrading tissues. I'm not quite believing the rest.

I haven't read up on this subject for a year or so, so I'm not sure what's going on with the research, but... Well yeah. I'll be here just to argue with our morals or something. Who needs the discarded embryos anyway, if not the scientists.
