This child comes along and says he believes in the church of a "Spaghetti monster". The teachers and staff were obligated to devote 1/3 of their time on a lesson about the giant flying spaghetti monster. Soon, they came to their sences and cut it out of their learning seesions upon discovery about the fact that this child completely made it up. How do you explain this? please post your opinion here!
this was an episode of south park were an atheist give an example of why there is no god saying that if he told someone that a flying spaghetti monster existed, without any proof to back it up, would you believe him?
Okay, topic, people, topic!! I made a project about FSM in high school. People did laugh and enjoy it, basically because it was a project about Intelligent Design. As Pastafarism is not an official religion, the kid should not have done so, and the teachers were right in punishing the boy. A popu-religion like the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is not to be taught like any of the older religions. It is fun, but also a mockery on both religion and ID as a whole. That way the teachers would end up teachin about the invisible pink unicorns.....
he shouldn't have gotten in trouble. there's a thing called "right of religion", and if he wants to believe in a flying spaghetti monster, then he should be allowed to believe in a flying spaghetti monster
No no no!! He faked the whole thing about him worshipping a giant flying spaghetti monster. And he did this to abuse his right to have his religion taught in school.
i know that. but there's really nothing they can do about it. he can say he believes in a flying spaghetti monster, and they couldn't tell him he's wrong because of the "right of religion"
