I was looking at the topics at the tavern and saw a topic called is santa real? So taking inspiration from that and also isn't george bush's time in the seat nearly over?
It is isn't it so i started remembering all the amazing things he has done for the american people and all the people in the world also i remembered all the fabulous speaches he has made in his career and i thought to my self is he real or is he not. Something this good can't be real so that is why i think he is not.

What is your opinion?

However, I challenge the anti-Bushes to give me specific reasons why George Bush is a bad president. I don't want media blunders or silly faces that the media loves to feed off of.

Wouldn't take less time to come up with a list of good things he's done as president? That's like comparing a book to a memo.

What an honor it's the president himself.
What do you have to say about the ''war on terror'' how many terrorists like saddam did you get?

I personally hate George bush because he is a bad president an made very bad decisions, but that does not make him a bad person.

Name some. (I know I could!)

Just give me a few examples. (Preferably ones I already have answers for.)

What about naming a competent head of FEMA? Wouldn't that be his job?

Just give me a few examples. (Preferably ones I already have answers for.)

The current state of the economy? The war he lied to get us into? The fact that his administration was warned about a terrorist attack on September 10 and the warning was ignored?

Those are what I can think of off the top of my head.

George W. Bush has done several good things. He's also done severalband things. Thats true of any president. I'll list some good things.

1. His response to 9/11. For those of you old enough to actually remember the event, Bush handled it perfectly. He kept this country in one peice with strong leadership and genuine sympathy and angish.
2. No Child Left Behind Act. Its not perfect, but its a good start. It has helped to address the sub-par performance of the lowest income schools in this country by setting real standards and also throwing the money at the low scoring schools. Does it make teachers just teach to make kids pass tests? Maybe. But if they can pass the tests obviously that is some sort of progress.
3. Medicare improvements for seniors. Its a money drain, true, but so is social security. Personally I think the medicare is money better spent.
4. Increased humanitarian aid to Africa. He's more than tripled it.

Congress.
The war he lied to get us into?
You know how I feel about the war. I do agree that we should not be still there though.
The fact that his administration was warned about a terrorist attack on September 10 and the warning was ignored?
I'm not sure that's fact. Besides, they get warnings like that all the time. They can't respond to them all.

What people fail to realize is that the president is not the only person responsible for the country. Many things people blame George Bush for is really not his fault. Patriot act? Congress. People just want a scape goat. Once Obama is in office, all your problems will magically disappear, right?

The current state of the economy?

You can blame all of Congress over the last decade for that. The roots of this difficulty are in deregulations begun in the 90's.
The war he lied to get us into?

I've said it once and I'll say it again. When the US, UK, and Israeli intelligence agencies all tell you Saddam Hussein has WMD's and is willing to hand 'em out like candy to terrorists, you tend to listen. Of course, it turns out it was bad information, but last time I checked, Congress voted us in to that war also. But I'm sure he bribed them all into voting right? So he could steal their oil. Because the US has gotten so much free oil.
The fact that his administration was warned about a terrorist attack on September 10 and the warning was ignored?

And the Clinton administration had an opportunity to permanantly silence Bin Laden and did nothing.

That's why I destroyed it with mah PATRIOT act.
Congress wrote the Patriot act. Only like two congressmen voted against it.
