I was looking at the topics at the tavern and saw a topic called is santa real? So taking inspiration from that and also isn't george bush's time in the seat nearly over? Like zootsuit said if your dad was the president then im sure that was a factor. In addition i am comparing him to Al Gore who did not have this assistance. My point isn't that Gore was smart, but that he was smarter than the average american, not many of whom have been to university, let alone achieved a top degree at one of the top 2 universities in the country.

I just love to see people who don't understand that it is very rare to see a "dumb" politician. almost all of our politicians, especially the senate, are lawyers, have gone to some of the best schools in the world. It's not the intelligence factor that makes these guys "morons" its their ideals their beliefs. The fact that they have to satisfy their party to stay in to power. Nixon was a very bright man, he just happened to be very paranoid also, so he did a very stupid thing and because of that he is considered the worse president in history.

How could you get your masters from a fairly prestigious degree in one of the best school in the nation if you where stupid? but being intelligent does not make you a good leader. look at hitler, he was a military genius yet he created social issues that would haunt the world for decades.
