Thats right.

I came home all the way from bloody Yorkshire and was looking forward to playing a lovely bit of GH4. I turn it on and lo and behold the 3 red rings appear. I try all the advice they give u on xbox 360 website but i am convinced it is a hardware problem and will probably have to send it off.

It is this type of thing that makes me want to go out and buy a PS3 *blasphemy*

As much as I like the xbox belive it is despicable that Microsoft allowed the 360 to be released without fixing such a serious fault in the machine. What do you think?

sry for dbl post, but actually most of the time they dont fix it, as its melted together most of the time... they just send u a new one lol... so then that one can break and then te cycle repeats itself..

ya definately crappy games... u know COD WAW, lil big planet, farcry 2, bioshock, OJ box, Fallout 3, devil may cry 4, MGS4, mirrors edge, Prince of Persia, NHL 09, Rock Band 2,


All of which are on the 360 too. The main argument we(360 owners) useis that the games exclusive to the xbox are far superior to those exclusive to the PS3, plus we have tons more games to choose from.

Butttt i do not want to turn this into a 360 vs PS3 debate there are plenty of other threads for that, lets still to the red riungs shall we?

If you cant live without gaming for two weeks, youre a loser.


The annoying thing is i am leaving for 4 months in which time i will not be able to play it at all, and i was so looking forward to playing gh4 when i got back from my last trip which was when i got the red rings. Its just comically bad timing. I know people who have said it takes only 1 week sometimes.

I have a 360 but it didnt have rings yet and i feel so luck y and hope for it to stay like that for a while. I had it for a year and a half but sometimes i hears the motor making sounds so hopefully it's just tempoarily thing.

I had my 360 about 3 years when it broke so as far as im concerned it had a good run and ronny i wouldn't count on it m8.

Actually, MGS4 and Mirrors Edge are PS3 exclusives. But that doesn't really matter, as LittleBigPlanet is a PS3 exclusive, and I don't really need anything else. Though I love Mass Effect.

On topic, after reading your posts, are you sure you have red rings-o-death? Red rings of death are these, http://www.360fury.com/Fury01/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/red_ring_of_death.jpg While these are the infamous fake-out red rings, which mean nothing. http://blog.gameshadow.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/red_ring_death.JPG If you have the real red rings, then I can only say this: Shoulda got a PS3! JK.

Yep they are definitely the real deal. I have already called up Microsoft and sorted it out. They were desperate not to annoy me over the phone so you can tell it is a widespread problem.

Thats weird, it looks like a playing Gears2 in 1080p. That cant be right though. The only reason the graphics are better is because the graphics card in the ps3 is better. And honestly, $200 extra for graphics differences you would be able to distinguish between? Come on.

In almost 4 years ive replaced my system once. Not every year like your retarded little friends that leave their systems on. Why would you leave your system on when you were done playing with it btw? Maybe you should start paying the electric bill guy.

The bluray arguement, ahh. The bluray drive in the ps3 is a piece o' crap. Its so low end compared with any other bluray player on the market, that it shouldnt even be brought into question. I have an upconverted dvd player that looks way better than the ps3 bluray ever dreamed of.

On live you can get real games. Trophies are a ripoff of 360 achievements. Chat rooms are even on the wii. Btw, the wii has crappy games yet its outselling less expensive 360 and overpriced ps3 2:1.

XD devilofchoice... it seems u truely haven't even probably played a ps3... am i right? first off the blu ray in the ps3 is btr than most blu rays out there... But of course u wouldn't know that because u haven't watched it either... Just stop making things up and get the facts right. Tons of ppl play online on the ps3, and the number of ppl keep rising...
You say that an upconverted dvd player looks btr... hah the blu ray keeps getting upgraded every time u get an update... Its now able to play 2nd gen blu ray's while actually making them look pretty sweet. Sry mate but ur arguement just doesn't hold water. We also got a hd dvd when they were on sale, and even those dont come close to blu ray on the ps3. So ur "upconverted" theory is a bunch of BS.
And name calling about my friends because im dissing ur favorite system... you must rlly love that thing huh. You call us losers for having to play all the time, yet ur the one getting defensive over a system... Well then as we can all see we know who the true loser is...

Anyways ill give u this then.... name 5 games that aren't for the ps3 that xbox has that are just so great that everyone loves...

How about 5 series. No crappy one off games. Halo, Fable, Forza, Mass Effect, Gears.

My best friend owns a ps3 and ive played it many a time. And honestly, theres alot of good things going for the ps3. Im only swooping in to the 360s defence here. Alot of haters on here.

well i gotta admit all those games are good but halo... im sry but its just thae same game over again but with 1 or 2 new weapons.. Not interesting... as well i hate the story line lol. Anyways.. yea there are good things about 360 but i prefer the ps3 at the moment. I also have a wii, and i gotta say that there is nothing good going for it... 95% of games come outta a crap factory... other than ssbb and resident evil umbrella chronicles and metroid prime... everything else is horrible. guys i said not to turn this into a ps3 vs 360 debate, as i said before there are plentry of other threads out there for that. However even though my 360 br0ke, i could easily go out today and get a PS3, but i wont because the 360 is a top quality console with a huge variety of top quality games. The PS3 is also a great system, but i think it could be much better.

No, the PS3 is the best. You know why? I could say a few things that I kind of agree with, but I will say the truth: I irrationally hate the 360! I have other reasons too, but that one is the winner for me.

Trust me they werent the fake ones. I didnt just send it off without checking all other possible solutions. Plus i had heard of the fake ones at the time and so i knew to be wary of this.
