I came home all the way from bloody Yorkshire and was looking forward to playing a lovely bit of GH4. I turn it on and lo and behold the 3 red rings appear. I try all the advice they give u on xbox 360 website but i am convinced it is a hardware problem and will probably have to send it off.
It is this type of thing that makes me want to go out and buy a PS3 *blasphemy*
As much as I like the xbox belive it is despicable that Microsoft allowed the 360 to be released without fixing such a serious fault in the machine. What do you think?
ps3 costs less anyway if you have xbox live for too long
When I tried PS3online every server I went on it was laggy. Maybe it was just my luck, but I like paying for xbox live and having a good online experience without lag.
Not many people have had it for that length of time. Plus live is only a yearly fee, thats (for me being a brit) about 50p a week. Not really that much considering how much people use it. Plus when people have had live for 10 yyears new consoles will be out or being developed at least by then.
I myself have had my 360 for around 3 years and mine has never broken...
Part of that is probably because I have never moved it ever since I got it...
I have only experienced the red ring twice and both of those times were on the same night and was because of a power surge that unexpectedly turned off the system... twice...
Normally the ring can be fixed by turning the system off... and back on, or un-plugging the wires and re-plugging them... If that doesn't work then I don't know what to tell ya...
wait isn't the silver membership for xbox live free and the gold 40-50 dollars per year?
Yea it is... I am a person who pays monthly instead of yearly which is around... $20-$40 more... A VERY stupid decision but I still enjoy live a lot and like playing the games and as long as I don't encounter any problems and have to buy a new one (I got the elite) then I'm happy!
I have lost around 30 gigs from like, oh I'd say 13-14 games... but that leaves 90.7!
I NEVER touch my 360 so it is all dusty and stuff... for 3 years I never touched it to make sure the console itself doesn't get damaged or the game inside...
I bought mine like 8-6 months after the 360 originally came out BUT I did get the elite on the first day that came out which was what I was planning... Instead of the white console I wanted the black elite that came with 2 black controllers and a black headset... (I think you can buy them that way though... I never looked around for them in Gamestop...) The best part was the 120 GB hard drive!
I am just Glad mine hasn't broke yet... I know somebody who takes it wherever he goes and seems to be reckless about how he takes care of it... He one time accidentally knocked into it and it fell flat with a game inside and he thought nothing of it but then I told him that the disc inside is probably ruined and what do you know... I was right... This happened 2 other times to him...
BUT I did get the elite on the first day that came out which was what I was planning...
The elite does not experience the same problems as the regular 360. When they built it they corrected the fault so it is much much arer to get the 3 red rings with an elite apparently.
