First, a bit of back story before I post the rules of joining and playing, just to give you an idea of the story that will be.
A tall, dark tower loomed over the barren planes surrounding it. At the top stood a tall man dressed in a dark cloak, blowing in the breeze behind him. He silently cursed to himself, because although the surrounding plain was without any life at all, he knew that beyond the tall mountains surrounding the castle, the plains were alive with grass and wildlife. "No matter." he thought to himself. "It will all be dead soon. All in good time." He stepped off the edge and returned to the center of the roof, where a small pedestal held a small half circle. He pressed a hidden button, and the half-circle slid open, revealing what he intended to hide until the time was right. Five small polyhedral shapes rested in their own place, none of them touching the others. The man himself had another one in his pocket, he would never let it go. The power felt too nice to him. The man laughed to himself, he knew that soon he would rule all of Helmgard with the power of the shapes. Suddenly, behind him, a hidden door leading back into the tower burst open. A knight, dressed in chain mail armor emerged. "Your through Granwalt! Your evil terror ends now!" he spoke in a raised voice, nearly screaming. "How exactly do you plan on stopping me, Sothe? I hold all the chips, and you hold none!" "Preposterous! Just because you have the dice of power does not mean you cannot be beaten!" "Even without the dice I could defeat you, Sothe, and I intend to prove it!" With that the man in the cloak, apparently named Granwalt, pulled a book out from behind him. The brave knight Sothe charged forward, his two-handed sword raised high above his head. Bravery in his mind, he let out a shrill cry. Granwalt quickly opened his book, moved his fingers in a strange pattern, and then cried out; "Raldi!" A beam of pure energy emerged from his free hand, and struck the knight square in the chest. The knight fell to the ground, sword still in his hand. Granwalt tucked the book away back into his cloak, and walked toward the dark knight."Ha! Wheres your bravery now, Sothe?" Sothe clutched the sword in his hand, moved it back, and then threw it forward, aimed straight at Granwalt. "Right here!' he cried. The dark wizard simply moved to the side. "Ha! You missed. Your still a worthless knight, no matter how brave you may be." "I wasn't... aiming at you... Granwalt!" he said, dying. The sword lurched past the wizard, and straight into the pedestal. "No!" cried the wizard. The polyhedral shapes sprang up from the pedestal, and each flew off in five separate directions. "You see, Granwalt. Even when I'm dying... I still...Fight for whats right... That's, what it means... To be a true knight..." Then the knight's body convulsed, and he died. Granwalt walked back to the pedestal, cursing to himself. "Knew I shouldn't have cast 'defy gravity' on those dice... No matter. I still have one with me. And it's the most powerful of all. All that annoying knight did was prolong the unevadable. Helmgard, would soon be his...
I don't really see anything wrong with it, besides the fact that there are no posts on it, and he clearly has done more than that. I can't say whether or not the poor guy just can't get on all the time, such as myself, or if he IS just ignoring us. Hard to say, indeed.
Anyways, I go back to the fountain. There was the large crowd there, correct? As well as the bakery? I hope both are still there...
... but it WOULD be hard for a bakery to go anywhere. lol
I look around the fountain areaa to see if there is anything new in the area that wasn't there before. Obviously, the guy in the black cloak was gone, so I could mark him off of my list of potential persons being there. I still would like to see, though, in case there has been any change.
Kyle As you hand the Weapons dealer your beers, he immediately slurps them down, all at once! "Now that's what I'm *Hick!* talking abou-... Oh god!" he coughs a few times, and then falls onto the table in front of him.
Xenocrates [i]You take a look around the town fountain. You see a cart selling bread, and a small crowd of people gathering around in a large circle. There are too many of them for you to make out what they are looking at. You also figure you could talk to some of the people around, mingle with them a little. You also notice the fountain itself. Water is spouting out of it into the air, and back into the bowl.
I read the first page of this forum RPG. very well layed out and i like the storyline. So i read the rest of the entire game. I believe you have great potential. I would play the game myself if there wasnt 6 people in the death line. Great ideas though. =D
Perk: Fast spell learning Perk: Flash step Perk: --Destructive spell grade D number #27, surface melt: --Effect: melts an object to escape it, may land trap holes. too slow to be used on a non-sleeping alive target MP cost: Cast time:
Quirk: Wastes much energy
HP: MP: Initiative: Starting Weapon: Zampakuto sword (his make is Mokutomaru, and yes i can release its shikai. turns into a woody sword that can root and attack from underground)
... wow, so you are a human, but also a japanese god of death from Bleach? strange combination... Let's just hope it doesn't turn into one of those "change the rules by giving yourself new powers to get out of a situation" kinda deals.
I go to the bread-seller. Since I don't really have much else I can do, and I figure that the large crowd, if there was something important there, would certainly stay there for a while.
Also, one quick question for you, Silver. Are you going to set up the site for the forum? because if you are, I can give you a few sites that worked out for me before.
Thank you for informing me that Armor was banned. This is the kind of stuff I probably wouldn't realize on my own. So for good measure, Armors character turned out to be a delusion of those two guards, because they were so gosh darn drunk.
Tengakami, you will be added to the end of the Death line. Devoidless, post your character sheet in my profile. I will take a look at it, and change anything (With you being informed, of course.)that doesn't seem to fit. You will be taken off the deadline and put into the story as soon as your character is accepted.
Straight Jaket, yes I am still working on the new forum. It is a rather hard thing to muster, but it is coming along. I'm thinking of having some forums open to the public (Such as the one to sign up for the Death Line.) and others blocked so only members can post there (such as the actual game.) This should still allow non members to view the game, but not play it until they are accepted. Don't expect it to become active for quite some time though. I want it to be the best it can possibly be.
I will update in just a few minutes (But because I have to type it it will probably be more like ten or so.), as soon as I update the Death line.
Xenocrates As you approach the bread sales man, he turns to you and says "Heah! It'sa ma favorite customer! Whatsa happenin' with you?" He speaks in a very Italian voice. Looking at the rather plump man, you speak to him the obvious truth. "I've never met you before..." The bread bakers eyes grow wide. "Um... Everyaone be a' my favorite customer! We all are like one biga family yes?"
Kyle You dig into the weapon dealers pockets. You are a bit spooked by his sudden unconsciousness, but he appears to be breathing. You turn your hand out of his pocket, he doesn't appear to have anything you want. Behind the counter is a door leading into another room, or you could just leave of course.
