First, a bit of back story before I post the rules of joining and playing, just to give you an idea of the story that will be.

A tall, dark tower loomed over the barren planes surrounding it. At the top stood a tall man dressed in a dark cloak, blowing in the breeze behind him. He silently cursed to himself, because although the surrounding plain was without any life at all, he knew that beyond the tall mountains surrounding the castle, the plains were alive with grass and wildlife.
"No matter." he thought to himself. "It will all be dead soon. All in good time." He stepped off the edge and returned to the center of the roof, where a small pedestal held a small half circle. He pressed a hidden button, and the half-circle slid open, revealing what he intended to hide until the time was right. Five small polyhedral shapes rested in their own place, none of them touching the others. The man himself had another one in his pocket, he would never let it go. The power felt too nice to him. The man laughed to himself, he knew that soon he would rule all of Helmgard with the power of the shapes.
Suddenly, behind him, a hidden door leading back into the tower burst open. A knight, dressed in chain mail armor emerged. "Your through Granwalt! Your evil terror ends now!" he spoke in a raised voice, nearly screaming.
"How exactly do you plan on stopping me, Sothe? I hold all the chips, and you hold none!"
"Preposterous! Just because you have the dice of power does not mean you cannot be beaten!"
"Even without the dice I could defeat you, Sothe, and I intend to prove it!" With that the man in the cloak, apparently named Granwalt, pulled a book out from behind him. The brave knight Sothe charged forward, his two-handed sword raised high above his head. Bravery in his mind, he let out a shrill cry.
Granwalt quickly opened his book, moved his fingers in a strange pattern, and then cried out; "Raldi!" A beam of pure energy emerged from his free hand, and struck the knight square in the chest. The knight fell to the ground, sword still in his hand.
Granwalt tucked the book away back into his cloak, and walked toward the dark knight."Ha! Wheres your bravery now, Sothe?"
Sothe clutched the sword in his hand, moved it back, and then threw it forward, aimed straight at Granwalt. "Right here!' he cried. The dark wizard simply moved to the side. "Ha! You missed. Your still a worthless knight, no matter how brave you may be."
"I wasn't... aiming at you... Granwalt!" he said, dying. The sword lurched past the wizard, and straight into the pedestal. "No!" cried the wizard. The polyhedral shapes sprang up from the pedestal, and each flew off in five separate directions. "You see, Granwalt. Even when I'm dying... I still...Fight for whats right... That's, what it means... To be a true knight..." Then the knight's body convulsed, and he died.
Granwalt walked back to the pedestal, cursing to himself. "Knew I shouldn't have cast 'defy gravity' on those dice... No matter. I still have one with me. And it's the most powerful of all. All that annoying knight did was prolong the unevadable. Helmgard, would soon be his...

Actually Tengakami, you have four people in front of you. The deathline is in my profile if you care to take a look. Now, let me explain exactly why I am not allowing more than three players at a time for a minute.

I have experience running RPG's, both on other forums, and in person. I used to run an especially popular one on another forum. I started out small, having only two players. It was great fun, both for me and for them. Two weeks later, I had over eleven players. Why? Because I couldn't just use the magic word 'no' when players asked to join. Eventually I was swamped. It was taking me two hours just to update each day. Eventually I couldn't update at all, because I didn't want to skip anyone for later. This eventually led to the death of the RPG. Something that started out small eventually collapsed onto itself because I didn't have the guts to just say 'no'. I still don't, so I smartened up and created the Death Line system. Everyone gets a fair turn to play, and the RPG moves along at a rather steady pace. I know having four players at a time wouldn't be a big hassle, but it would eventually lead to people saying 'why not five players?' or 'Why not seven players?' and I'd be right back where I started. Thus, this will not pass. I hope everyone understands my predicament as a game master, but thus is the curse.

You leap over the dealers body, passed out on his counter. You walk into the room. It is surprisingly empty, just a few posters here and there, and a large safe on the back wall.

HE'S BACK!!!! *gasp*

lol, haven't seen you in a while, Kyle!

ahem.

ANYWAYS! I might as well talk to the man. You never know wat a steriotypical Italian baker might have to say, right Silver? lol.

"Of course. I may not know a few things, but being able to see that someone is hiding something is not far from my grasp of knowledge.

lol, even though I haven't been on for quite some time, no one seemed to do much with this... lol.

ANYWAYS!

"You don't have to hide anything from me, 'baker.' I do not wish to bring any harm to you, even though I'm certain most would want to (for some reason or another, I'm sure.) Although I would like to know a few things, if you can tell me the information.

Also, I figured out that you weren't really who you brought yourself up on. Simply for the fact that you seemed to drop your accent.

...hello?

ECHO!!!
Echo!
echo...

wow, Silver hasn't been on in a while. HEY! ARE YOU THERE, SILVER?!?

hmmmmmm...let's hope no one has to commandeer the game, like I had to with the last one... I mean, I may know zombies, but I certainly have no information on the ways of the Times of Old. So I would most certainly be out of the running if that were the case...

Lol, just kidding, Silver! I mean, in all honesty, you have been doing a great job with the story lines so far... And I'm only a little worried about the imminent, looming death of the game that took so long to achieve... lol.

Whoa, sorry guys. I got WAY lost somewhere lol. I completely forgot about this, somehow. I've been playing in a lot of Brawl online tourneys and the resident evil 5 game. Sorry I forgot. It's late here, so I will update tomorrow, probably. XD Sorry for the, like week late update.

good GOD, man! How do you forget something like this?!

lol, just kidding. But I wouldn't think that it would be that addicting to go off for... 8 days. OUnless you were playing nonstop, like that kid with the WoW. lol

Alright, so we CAN, in fact, expect an update this week? lol.

"Fine, you found me out you bat. My parents aren't really Italian, but it's SO much better for business if I pretend to be... I'll tell you what. I'll give you some information, on anything you want to know, if you keep my secret and take care of a little 'roblem' I have."

Kyle
You attempt to open the safe. (Intelligence score of 2) Despite your best efforts, you can't open the safe. You could try again, but be wary of customers...

So, do you have a problem with that? It's a rule system created entirely in my design, not in anyone else's. There isn't a single rule in here that matches that of D&D.

There are so many things wrong with that I'm not even going to begin pointing them out.
