I was wondering about avatars and my favorite game Fancy Pants. My idea was, that if some of the authors could make some avatars and give them to armor games, we could have avatars from our favorite games, It would be awesome to have a fancy pants avatar.
i really think there should be like armatars coming from different popular games that most people like. Also more armatars they are fun to get and you just want to get them all. But its hard.
That would be great. I'd like a Warfare 1917 armatar.
This has probably been said some times: Copyright is a problem to this. Theme is a problem in this. Selecting is a problem in this. Spread is a problem in this.
Copyright is evil. And even if it is fixed, it might go wrong. Theme, well either it should be drawn as part of a games theme, and thereby clash with our already existing armatars, or it should be drawn in tune with the existing ones, which would mean trouble with copyright and artist. Selecting.. Do you think people would agree on selecting a good 12 games to have an armatar made from? And for the spread, well, people might get really annoyed that the game they like have an armatar with an ap too high for them.
Sorry, but still. If people was interested in armatars for merits, then why do they spam instead of writing merit worth comments. I would predict a lot of "How do I get this", "how do you get a merit", "Somebody give a merit" and so forth, even more than there already is. As well as people would end up being really annoyed at someone like me with merits but no armatar, because I am "abusing" it.
This is all too similar to the prizes for winning a game, just with armatars that will clash with both copyright and general theme. And copyright is a problem, even when it come to free games, or free images or anything like that. People think that if it is found on the net, then it is free to use in any way they like. And post it here against site policy (renders is a good example).

If they were, it could end up in huge copyright problems, and it would as well, if we take armatars from games. If a person gives permission to use the game as a base for an armatar, the person could take the permission away again, and people would go berserk when the armatar disappears.

Convincing. Well, then I hope more "free" armatars are released soon.
I think you should be able to have some thing like Create-An-Armatar when your editing your profile. When you click on it there would be a paint bad and you could draw your own Armatar.
Crouchbite, that still goes along with the behavioral issues that we will inevitably have in AG.
the Armatars have their own distinct feel. I wonder who drew them.
I have searched and searched, but the "artists" don't have usernames here. At least I think so. Maybe I just never looked hard enough? I had a theory back then that it was Danny himself that drew them, and you would think so, since he's the founder and all, but that's not the case. He has hired 2 people do so some drawing for some good armatars.
