Why not just make moderators?
Or different types of moderators?
I know moderators can't be everywhere but why not either make specific types that look at different things?

With only 6, it's kinda hard to spread the range out. Most just move on their own accord, but some are stuck on one particular forum, because that's usually where they are good at, and where they can help members, if needed. If things look pretty boring in their area, then that's maybe when they go look for reviews to check on. But I don't know any of their schedules, I'm not a stalker or anything... >_>

They already made that in my opinion, the flag and the "up-vote" arrow which gives you the oppertunity to help the moderators.

Fst6, when multiple accounts flag the same comment, THAT'S when it gets sent for the mods to check it out. If it's only one, it could be a biased opinion or something. If flagged comments were shown at one flag, then most of the comments would be shown. They wouldn't want that to happen.

Flaging only helps them find spam not look at one forum section each day. unless they have this page where they looked up at different flagged material.
example
Obama President: 3 flags (on this forum)
But if we did that then someone would find which site it's on and give the web page to other people.

SO I am trying to make a point flaging helps but not enough.
so make different mods go to different forums or make more mods in general.

The problem with this is that if you have mods specailized for giving out merits and others for cleaning up forum spam, then why not just give them all the mod tools so they can use them whenever? Might as well fully equip all the mods than have some with only half the tools.

Well, NoName has a point, but if you have certain mods for certain you can be sure that thing is clean. If you have fully equipped mods they might be all at one place a once.

Forum and merits are mutually exclusive. There are those who barely go to the forums, but probably know what merits are.

Yes this is a good idea. Certain moderators are appointed to different areas of the site.

Well I didn't mean taking away abilities but instead making them have assigned jobs in different forums.

Why would it be better than having all the mods do everything?

Ah, you guys are talking about some kind of roster.

The reason we don't do this is because each and every one of our lives is actually fairly irregular, thus any roster wouldn't be adhered to with consistently enough to make it effective. Which gives rise to the idea of appointing somebody who only has the ability, say, to check the game comments but this is actually impractical on both a code and logistical basis for reasons already mentioned.

But I'll strive to clear up more spam when I can.
