It's been proven that the earth has been around for billions of years. Evolution has also been proved. The Big Bang theory has been almost proven through extensive evidence via mathematical means, as well as the fact that we have detected shockwaves from the Big Bang. It's not a matter of believing in a theory anymore, it's a matter of accepting a fact. Pixie is right, give irrefutable towards the Genesis theory, or accept that the Bible is wrong.
sorry for the double-post, but yeah, i believe in the Big Bang and The Billions-of-Years-Old-Earth theo...*cough*...*cough*...fact. Proof that the Earth is older than 6000 years old: written history goes back about 12,000 years. About 7,000 years through Ancient Greece, and the rest through cave paintings.
Yeah this is starting to make me mad that there's all these people saying that the universe was made by God or the Big Bang theory with no means of proof and saying that it is and there's no arguing. I'm sorry to say this for the umpteenth time, but I'm agnostic because it can't be completely proven either way. The only person I'm not mad at that posted after me is Pixie214 (big shock, never disagree with him) because he didn't say something was either way, he told the Theist people to back up their theories. I'm tired of this stuff people are saying, because they're just saying stuff and that's all. No evidence. No room for correction. They're extreme Theists and need to maybe accept that they might be wrong.
Do you believe that earth was here for billons of years or the big bang or what?
I know that the the earth has been around for billions of years (half lives of radioactive materials, general rocks lying all over the place). The big bang is also a theory that I believe in.
Pixie, I like how you stated your opinion. You said what you knew and gave evidence and said that you believed in the Big Bang instead of saying that it was absolutely true.
Well ernie, I think zega meant what he actually had to say. The quote wasn't what he said, he was just quoting it and commenting with one word on it. I don't like how people aren't leaving room for error. They're saying one thing is right and they won't accept that they may be wrong. The exceptiong is Ernie who said probably which makes his post good, so good job.
