Sorry about barging in and ruining your fun, but I just had to ask a few questions. I mean, most of you Christians here just plain don't know how to argue. (seriously...it's weird.)
Proof that the Earth is older than 6000 years old: written history goes back about 12,000 years. About 7,000 years through Ancient Greece, and the rest through cave paintings.
How do you know that the cave paintings are that old?
scientists say the big bang exploded out of nothing?! science say that you cant take nothing and turn it into something! how do scientist still call themselves scientists yet they belive this?
Hey zega, you changed your armatar. Almost didn't notice it was you without the turtle/tortoise armatar. But back on topic. Klint, what kind of question is that? Why would lizards just randomly turn into birds? I really don't understand what kind of point was trying to be made by saying that. It was also kind of random and didn't relate to this topic other than it being related to science which is related to the Big Bang Theory, which is a big tangent if you ask me. Also @ ice age gangsta. Work on your grammar? And @ fourty two. It's good that you're questioning the people saying that it was the Big Bang that started the universe, because it's good for there to be debating going on. But anyway, I really want to know what point was made by klint's second comment.
evolution takes millions of years to occur, it took about 10 million for fish to turn into lizards and another 100million for lizards to turn into beavers, and another 500million for lizards > monkeys and billions for monkeyts to turn into caveman, ect.
i dont know the exact time elapses but it was over a time of about 50 billion years
Ok about the thing with klint and dacer. Dacer is right saying that evolution takes a long time. A looong time. But he's exaggerating a bit saying 50 billion years. If you believe in evolution and such, the world is around 4.5 billion years old I think. The universe is I believe 13 billion? My memory of the universe's age is a little fuzzy, so I'm not sure. And about what klint said about the half bird half lizard. There probably was one, but they've either evolved into birds or stayed lizards. Lol and something I just thought of when he said that was a platypus. :P Anyway, there's this thing with like 8 big pieces of evidence of evolution, but I have no clue where to find it, someone just showed it to me. Also, klint, if you're curious about evolution, you should look it up.
but shouldnt there be a lizard halfway between lizard and bird?
Flightless Birds, Flying Fish, Humans with Gills, Three eyed animals, insects and shellfish sharing enzymes, chromosomes, DNA, and that ape looking black guy next door.
