I feel insulted by this question as I'm Atheist aswell.. Why would it be rude if we tell what we think... We're not barbariam medieval guys anymore, and in my opinion people should stick to their own beliefs and not that of a prohpet.

i dont believe that it is rude all that it means is that they dont believe in a god or superior being and i respect their opinion ... in fact im pretty close to being atheiest im a scientologist i believe in the science behind what everything is and how it began or works.

Ok then, I am a christian...thats what I believe in. You pretty much said nobody can have a religion because somebody else started it.
Religions are mostly there just to give people hope. Or someone to pray to.
Like I kind of said before. It's not just Atheists, it's all people that decide that we care about their religious beliefs when we aren't even on topic.
So it's ok in this thread to state your beliefs. Just be warned that there is always going to be some guy/girl that thinks you are wrong.

That is not what I meant, sorry if you took it that way. I said that I think you shouldn't believe in what somebody says but what you think yourself. It's ok to believe in god as I am but 50 % atheist and 50 % deusist. But in my eyes it's wrong to believe someone because of a rumor, I think you should think about those things and have your own belief about things.
But, there are some individuals that practically run around screaming that they are Atheist!
There's also the other side where you have a bunch of bible thumpers that get into your faces about joining their church. I call that annoying as well, and it's not just we atheists that do this. Then there's the fact that they get on about other religions because they think it's fake and blasphemous to their own god. This goes mainly with Christians and Muslims. I haven't encountered a Shintoist, Hindu, Jew, or tribal who decided to go and flame other religions and power recruit into their own. It's downright annoying if you ask me.
And yes, I'm partly a Shintoist, because of my culture. Everything, including inanimate objects, has a soul, a spirit. They all relate to one another and live in harmony with each other, each corresponding with and absorbing others. Am I...strange?
This has nothing to do with Atheism. As shintetsu said, for every Atheist who does this, there's going to be just as many people who do it for their particular religion. It can also happen with any characteristic. I know plenty of people who, as soon as they meet someone new, immediately profess their one character trait. It can happen with being a redneck, being a gangster, being gay... I find it a little irritating that you single out Atheists in this thread.
