On the news, in washington it is illegal to own a gun. I think they should be allowed I mean Murderers are going to be able to get them anyway they're always black markets for them but what about the citizens who can't pro tect them selves???

What do you think???

Yes, but the Second Amendment was written in another time under other circumstances.
There wasn't a real police. People were propably also afraid of the government and guns gave them the guarantee that they could defend themselves and could put pressure on the government.
Nowadays you can picket or strike. The people have the power, not the government. We also have a police.

The Constitution doesn't change, and there was police when it was written, go study history.

1. It would make it much harder for them to get weapons.
2. So why searching the baggage and poeple at the airports? Terrorists will always find a way to get on board with weapons...

1. No it wouldn't, it wouldn't change.
2. Not if we profile(but that's another issue), and not as much if we didn't, they have been stopped before and Airports will probably tighten security considering the incident on the plan a month or two ago.

But you can't compare the police of nowadays with the one then

1. No it wouldn't, it wouldn't change.

Are you sure?

Yes I am, Gangsters, Terrorists, etc. get the guns off the black market, and I doubt that prices will go up because allot of BM Dealers are crooks who steal them, unless the dealers are dumb, they won't put the prices up too much.

True, true, but crime was also a major amount lower then.

And this is going to back to my last post about the black market, allot of the guns are cheaper than you get in stores and pawn shops.

If weapons can be stolen from an army base then the army must do something about it.
Smuggling would propably still be a problem... But if you couldn't buy weapons legally the prices on the black market would propably explode

I was talking more about amateur dealers, but that does happen.

If weapons can be stolen from an army base then the army must do something about it.

No problem, drugs, illegal gambling, plus, many states DO allow concealed carry(you do need a license), the main reason I know some of these things is I want to own a company that manufactures and sells weapons.

If there weren't any guns then everyone one would be robbed. Sit down and think, no way to defend yourself, easy robbing!! Ohh what do you know!!
But you can't compare the police of nowadays with the one then

True, but changing an Amendment is so unconstitutional its not even funny. Its not even thought of now days.
