why would sombody make a virus that would bing a porno site a bunch of times? what would that solve?

That would annoy and harass. One of the goals of a hacker.
Though, hackers also may want to gain money, steal information or control your computer.

Think how much that site would pay them. (A lot)

The only difference between this malware and all the others is that nobody knows what this is going to do. Now, that would normally be a bad thing because usually things can already get worse. But here, they really can't. A worm can only do what a computer can do, and typical malware makers use the host computers to their full potential. They do the worst they can. With this worm, there's a chance that it won't do anything at all.

So, really, it's just another worm. Things like these have been going on for a very long time, and the statistics about this one have been exaggerated because it's mysterious. Innovative thinkers have come up with new designs that have stumped the antivirus people since the internet came out.

I've heard about this, and I don't think anyone should be too worried. Microsoft updated their OS back in October so that it can't get in anymore. As long as you have all the updates you should be fine. If you don't have all the updates I believe you can find them on Microsoft.com.

If you can get to Microsoft.com, or Symantec.com (they make Norton AntiVirus), your computer should be safe. I ran the Windows Vista Scanner Beta, and luckily it came up with nothing. I can get to Microsoft and Symantec, so I think I should be fine...I hope

Meh I fine Nod32 has detected this 6,442 virus (on other machines in total) So I'm fine Nod32 has taken care of it if it has affected me.

Basically, if you know what you're doing and aren't stupid online, you should be fine against attacks like these.
