First off, I want to tell everyone that I do not mean this offensively. It's just a suggestion. I hope to NOT get a lot of negative feedback.

Okay, to the mods and admins: For some reason, you guys are different from us average users(Please don't list them by power). Fine, but there are some things that you could improve on:

You're voice. I'm not saying that you're dull and boring. I'm saying that the only person that has a childish posting style is Zophia. The rest of you, you just write normal posts that explain what you want to say and is straight to the point. But that's kind of well... a bit boring(please don' tell me of my controversial statements. I know! But my vocabulary is very low at the end of the day).

I'm not asking the current mods to change their life style.

My suggestion is, that the next mod(who will probably turn up in the next year or so(hopefully)) should be someone who is popular among the members because they are a good site member while also colorful and exciting.

This post may be a bit too far into the future thing, but I believe it could really help out.

Did that thread scare you because someone thought of you Cen?

... Maybe... *pokes fingers together, blushing*

I'm starting to think NoName's 'How to become a moderator' thread had more truth in it than we thought.

Of course it is true! Would moderators lie to you? Huh? HUH?!

Yeah asking anyone to do that is like asking a rock to grow up into a tree >_> 'But I don't wanna grow up!' it'll say.

Your examples of life are a stones chuck away from reality, you know.

We should buy all the Mods Silly Putty, that's fun.

But that's pretty far fetched, Raptor.

Some of them are fun, like Carlie and
Zophia (must be the female genes [no slappies, please])

I don't know if it's possible to insult your own gender by saying the other is better. And sexism is a pathetic excuse to rebel against genetics and DNA.

That's their job. If they said too many elaborate things to newer users who require help, the newer users would probably feel overwhelmed by the long posts.

I didn't say they have to write longer. I said that there should be more voice and color in it.

However colourful and EXCITING may not always come in the Mod Package

I would wonder if it were not allowed. It's sort of a bonus thing I guess then.

This is why we think Zoph is... interesting, but that's why we like her, because we know that
every time she posts, it's at least something more interesting than anything else! If we had
more optimistic, cheerful, spirited mods like her, then more and more of the members will come
to like them. I mean the newcomers, of course the senior members will like them, since they
know them pretty well, just that the newcomers come here like cautious little cats who
explore their new home before finally accepting it.

How nice. That's a new word! Cheerful! Mods should be cheerful, I was looking for a word like that.

(and occasionally directly at you).

Ouch.

Also, I found this funny:

...even if they are sarcastic and serious...

Did I say that? No, I checked.

I personally find Strop Strap humorous, Carlie carefree, NoName spontaneous, Uber completely random, Zophy often off topic and fun, and... Yeah!

Carlie is carefree? Never thought of that. I don't think that mods or admins are supposed to be that, otherwise you're suggesting they don't care about a lot of things. And Random as in their moods changing all the time?

But a humorous carefree spontaneous random new mod would be funz!

Yes, that would be great. We don't our old mods to have brain surgery for us.

There are two big downsides of being flippant or using an idiosyncratic tone in your posts:

Flippant?Idiowhat? My trusty Oxford dictionary is coming right up(On the computer, under Dashboard)

1) People who wish to exploit opportunities for poor behaviour by equivocating find it much easier to do so when the moderator is being casual.

2) Casual tone often causes things to be lost in translation, which is particularly bad when interpretation of the rules is subtle.

Exploit? People take advantage of mods? That's like poking the giant with a spear and taunting 'eat me'. Stupid idea.

Carefree = Relaxed. Good personality for her, she gets like 1k comments on her page a day.

Random = I ran out of words.

Cen is pretty funny *glances at list of mods*

I will be in my room looking at my shoes now...

That is why I respect her. She really needs a lot of patience to get through the complains, comments and dump of "Hi" everyday.

Shoes are fun to look at... Except mine are covered in dog crap (why is that not censored)...

Exactly. She's amazing to do that.

I also find it funny that I'm addressing a group of users who are openly judging/criticising my behaviour, but, to stretch an analogy a bit, I suppose this is something that celebrities live through.

Hopefully not many of you, that is.

Did I say you said that? No, I never did. For the record, knight_34 did. You can check that if you want.

Read Carlie's post on page 3, it should be helpful. But really, some people do like to poke us with spears yelling "EAT ME" because they have nothing better to do.

Point is, we do, so we want less of that and more "forum running smoothly".

To wrap up the rest of the general comments about me, I no longer post actively on the World Events forum. Before I was a moderator, I would frequently voice opinions and start threads, but now I merely commentate/adjudicate on them.

All of the mods are fun is their own way! You probably just haven't interacted with all of them enough to get that. Stropsign is funny, Zoph is a but silly and fun, NoName is just cool, Uber is spontaneous, Carlie is nice to talk to, Moe is a great conversationalist, and Flipski is friendly!

Hmm... maybe you should get white shoes, and permanent markers and draw on your shoes and stuff! Yeah, that would be epic to look at.

But really, some people do like to poke us with spears yelling "EAT ME" because they have nothing better to do.

Hahahaha! The sad thing is, I'm pretty sure I've either said that to you or NoName.

NoName is just cool

*blinks* I don't think you have gotten to know him enough. He is utterly hilarious at times.

Carlie is nice to talk to

Carlie scares me, I'm afraid I'm going to say something wrong and she will be like "NOM! BITE YOUR ARM OFF!!" I have never actually really talked to her though, so that's just judging her based off how she handles the bad users.
