while we're at it... Let's ban cars since they kill more than guns. Let's ban obesity since it kills more than guns. Let's ban doctors since they kill more than guns. Let's ban smoking since it kills more than guns. Let's ban alcohol since it kills more than guns. Let's ban toxic agents since they kill more than guns. (sad actually)

There is absolutely no need to ban guns, there are so many other things that kill more than guns, besides, I think that I should be able to carry a gun and protect myself. Now, don't get me wrong, there is absolutely no need for somebody to have an assault rifle or a high- powered sniper rifle, but We should be able to carry small arms, like a hand pistol.
This subject is quite touchy, both sides have good arguments. I myself lean slightly towards the "no guns" side, but I consider myself overall neutral. So I have really nothing to say other than that this debate has and will continue to go on for a long time.
Somebody gets shot. There's an uproar about banning guns. All guns with banned. Criminals get guns illegally. They are more brazen in their crimes now that they know that no regular citizen will defend themselves with a gun. Gun crimes go UP.

Actully, handguns kill more than assault rifles or HP sniper rifles combines. In a city setting, neither are quite fesible or practical.

Illegal guns are often expensive and hard to come buy. Limiting access to guns would lower the amount of criminals carrying guns. A criminal will not commit more or less crimes depending on the civilian population's access to guns, but rather their own.

You know what, to tell you the truth, I think I'd rather get killed by a gun then a knife or bat. And criminals always get guns one way or another.
