I e-mailed this to Rush after his anti-stimulus package rant.
Hey Rush,
You talk hard about the "American Dream," when you barely skated through high school. My dad was a first generation college student from an immigrant family that owned a poor-faring restaurant in a small fishing town. He worked his way into the University of Washington, one of the top colleges in the WORLD. There, he earned a degree in Oceanography. He transferred into the University of Connecticut, another world-ranked university, for the Master's Program, and for seven more years worked on his PhD while supporting my mother early in their marriage. My dad then began to work for several universities, including UC Santa Barbara and Texas A&M, where he established himself as a leading researcher in his field. Currently, he works for a facility owned and operated by the Department of Energy as a supervisor, overseeing environmental research.
For almost 30 years now, my dad has brought in millions upon millions of dollars for the companies and universities to which he is employed. He has worked hard, and always been diligent. Yet, despite his higher education, renowned worldwide status, and obvious efforts to advance his field of study, my father makes only .2% of your annual salary. You, who barely scraped by in high school. You, who rants conservative propaganda and tears the country apart. You, who claims to uphold Conservative and Christian beliefs, yet have been divorced three different times, and have an addiction to pain pills. You, who gets paid more than 95% of Americans to sit in an armchair and talk bull to people all day. You don't even have to look pretty; in fact, you're far from that goal.
Take off your headphones and stop listening to yourself talk. (Oh, wait, haha) Realize that there's a world beyond your nose. The American Dream is exactly that-a dream, meant to get kids and foreigners to behave well and assimilate themselves into society.

I personally think it's sad that America is more likely to believe in a man with no economic or political background, merely an entertainer, than the people with actual degrees.
