What alt doesn't seem to understand is, Mr. Limbaugh frequently uses the comedic technique of sarcasm to get his point across. And many libs don't seem to understand that, either.

Alt, you don't understand the meaning of the word SARCASM. May of those quotes are taken out of context and distorted.

Oh, I know. I mean, isn't it crazy that I fail to see the fact that nothing he says is bad? That he was obviously being sarcastic (whatever that means. . .) and absolutely correct when he said that "If we are going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people--
I'm serious, let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely
no knowledge whatsoever to do--let the stupid and
unskilled Mexicans do that work," right? I mean seriously, how could I possibly not see the flawlessness of that statement? It's crazy, I know. I just can't help it.

I get that. What you don't seem to get is that it isn't funny. And if it's offensive and intended to be funny, and it isn't, then you've gone too far.

If Rush Limbaugh is in fact being sarcastic and really just a comedian then why does he have interviews on fox new? Why isnt he on Comedy Central? Why is it that people agree with him? Why isnt it that you are laughing at him if he is in fact joking? Why is it that people cheer when he miss quotes the preamble?

1. It's very funny if you know what your listening to.

2. Lots of sarcasm like 86 is pointing out.

3. Lots of exagerating.

That was epic sarcasm. If it's flawless why are people gunning down cops becausse those unskilled illegals are taking their jobs. Thats very flawless.

Too much. Sarcasm does not justify offensiveness if it's overdone. Rush just is too stupid to be truly funny in my opinion.

1st. It is a broad generalization to call all illegals "unskilled." I bet that if they were all legal, you wouldn't make that generalization.
2nd. Where and when have people gunned down cops because an immigrant was hired after that person was laid off?
3rd. You caught the sarcasm! Good job.
4th. Your reply is somewhat. . .muddled. It doesn't exactly riposte what I said. . .at all.

I concur with that. If he was just some sort of flippant comedian nobody cares about, I wouldn't care. But the fact that he considers himself a serious newsman and still says such offensive things is why I dislike him so vehemently.

I like how he got offended when the head of the Republican National Convention dismissed him as an entertainer.

Well, Rush does admit when he's wrong, and he sometimes is. But it's once in a great while...

And every show, he updates his status on how often he's right on predictions/commentary. As of a few days ago, it was about 98-99%(I'm not sure the exact figure).

Who figures this out? If it's him, that is not true.

No, it's not him, it's an independent data service.
