I've added no trap to the challenge (only 35 built from the beginning). But that doesn't heplp. I'm already at full skill.
Perhaps no gem transmute to prevent mana farming would be great (but it's impossible to check that). Or even no summoning, but that should be impossible to reach the level to beat the guardian and even some early levels.
Too bad the challenge end at the second guardian.
I've not done the level to left ... because the shortest route is on the right ^^
so I've made to level 166, but still having trouble getting the super huge XP. I've read through the blog and have used mana-farms, etc but never have enough time to get more than 34,000 or so XP in a game. I managed to get 74,000 XP in the Tomb of the Forgotten, but levels are you guys playing to get those high numbers? any help is appreciated.
well, you are to anger through the roof literally, but before you do, you are to speed up any gems you put in mana farms. Without an accelerated mana farm, it won't reach the amount of mana leeched that's required for huge angering, and that huge angering is what's needed for huge scoring.
About levels - try #1 endurance, it's the easiest to try getting high scores.
Welcome back Lankr. MJD50 listen to vesperbot and don't be afraid to make them monsters angry they need the discipline. Read and reread these blogs :-)
ASsto : You truly are a masochist. You are not going to believe me on this one but I tried it so I could one up you... and it is kind of fun for a little bit. Turn your screen upside down its a hoot! You'll need something to prop it against but trust me you'll enjoy.
some bleary eyed obervations:
1 - somehow the "N" key (next wave) has been inadvertently (or mischeviously) placed between the "B" key (bomb) and the "M" key (mana pool). I have designed and patented a new keyboard where this will no longer be a problem. I would also ask that in v1.25 the "N" key does not send the next wave unless used in conjunction with the ALT+CMMD+OPT+SHIFT+a written letter from the Pope.
2 - Advice: do not I repeat DO NOT use a pencil, paper clip and rubber band to hold down the mana pool key after you have built all your defenses. It WILL activate the mana too quickly and it is only a matter of time before a crowd visits your wiz hut at at the wrong time (wave 42 of 44, 500 monsters in the field at 100K each 25 time multiplier and boom - 2hr lesson learned :-(
3 - personal note: They've moved me out of the padded room now but they still won't give my shoelaces and belt back :-)
I've been on vacation a while and played the downloadable game while I had no Internet access. When I got back, I found the 1.2 lvl on the site. Nice! esp the fact that you can now indefinitely extend your mana pool. With that I've build insane (26+) mana and score multipliers and finally I reached a game where I got 5 billion points (and 5+ mil XP!)
So now I'm at like Wizard level 357 and I'm wondering a few things.
What Wizard levels are the other experts at this game?
What high scores are now possible with the indefinite extension of the mana pool?
My next wizard level upgrade will cost 50k XP, so it is definitely getting a LOT harder to climb the wizard level ladder...
But also, I'm now getting very bored with GC0. I've almost played all the battle modes on the first two levels, but it is hard to stay interested just for the sake of completing the levels.
I love playing the games w the arcane monsters, but lately they can't even walk over the first gem in a trap without dying. Wish there was a way to anger the arcane levels. lol.
I assume at the level 300s you've beaten every mode on every level.
No, that's why its getting boring. I've just maxed out lvl 29, but above that I've only played select modes on all the levels.
I've gotten my 5bil on the final level.
Using the mana farm strategy, and since I always have at least a grade 2 and grade 3 of every color, I go about it as follows.
Combine all the grade 3s into a grade 6 prismatic.
Use the gem transmute capability to transmute all the grade 2 gems into red and orange, then combine two pair of those to put into traps and keep the other red/orange pair in reserve to transmute more gems.
Then bomb the first few levels as much as I can.
Then it is a race to see how fast I can grow my mana farm and the mana pool (for the multiplier). Once I'm about 22k on the mana pool and have 7-8 grade 4 R/O mana traps, I'm set for the duration.
I've hardly ever loast in the last 100 or so battles.
id realy love to see an update where you can buy grade 7-10 gems also without comining, i hate it when at a point you cant spend mana as fast as it comes in and making grade 15 gems takes several mins each out of 512 grade 6s, but yea im new here and can you post pics/vids showing a few tips cuz max score im getting is about 1m (340m xp) and id like a few tips for those 10m+ games
does anyone have any tips on making high grade gems faster,it takes a good hour just to get 32 grade 14s which was going fairly fast pace, thats around 8k class 6s i made and fuzed in 1 hour, my goal is to beat all 228 waves of the final battle, i can defeat them up to wave 160ish, then go so bored of rapidly crafting grade 6s in to higher grade, then by wave 200+ i just think its impossible to have the kind of fire-power to take them down
going for all 228 waves of the final battle, eh? good luck-i've only gotten to wave 64, partly because i was eager to see the end scene.
The best mana-burning tip i can give is to use prismatics; ctrl+click on grade 6, ctrl+g+click on the gems to make into a grade 11(?) prismatic. Maybe you can alternate this with making the higher quality dual gems.
(for those who read my earlier post, i started using dual gem mastery after the 3rd guardian)
