Celebith, first, perform a search against your file system for "giabGcChapter0SaveData.sol" and back it up somewhere (this means copy), and record the full path somewhere, it should end with "cache.armorgames.com". Next, start a new game, make a level, save it, monitor for the new file appearing, close the browser page with GC0. Use your backed-up .sol to overwrite the newly created one, then open GC0 again. You should have your save game back. If you will fail to find the file, then... hmm... request someone else for the file or text save data
The likliest of causes is a clear of either your temporary internet files or your cookies, both of which can have irreversable effects on your saved files... Good luck on your next game thou!
I haven't checked in for a while... I'm glad to see the friendly faces of the old crowd AND the newcomers.
Vesper,
I loved all of your suggestions from 8-15 especially linking all angering to the arcane guardian. How FUN! There would have to be a limit though or the Arcane and friends could get way out of hand (Maybe a combo of linear (vs. exp) increase and ratio reduction?) And there should be a risk/reward component for really pushing the envelope (maybe bonus skill pts).
Extended skills for extra Skill points YYYEESSSS!!!!! This one seems like a no brainer - a new skill set to be able to buy larger gems. Probably only lvl 7,8 and 9 and it shouldn't be cheap either maybe 2K, 3K pts and 4K pts respectively. It might encourage playing some of the lesser played disciplines (swarm) to get the points. If Genie can send out 1b HP monsters we should be able to buy bigger guns :-)
If this doesn't work out many good things can be said for cold hard cash. A Euro/pt could fund a nice 2 week vacation.
On capping the super gemming: sure ... after I get wave 228. It's not like the game is TOO EASY ;-)
My wish list (simple minds):
1 - no more smoke in the work tray. It's unnecessary and makes confirming transmutes on the fly impossible and slows the game (even with pfx at 0).
2 - Mid level check points probably based on # of monsters killed (mana gain and pts vary too much).
3 - I'm not sure who said it but I too miss the high scores
How far have you guys gotten on getting through wave 228? I lost w/ 295 monters left ( a group of billion hps kept marching around the board in eachother and others 'shadow'. I'm estimating that the saturation pt for the board (with all 89 traps shocking/slowing w/ 5 monsters hit) is around 180-210.) I know the math doesn't work out right but after every body is distributed there seems to be an awful lot of 'shadow'
My last big game about six hours before the power went out (sob :-( 1.7 Trillion wave 142, 320X multiplier and I'm still angering 3-4 times - The cruelty:
I hope these come through, its the first time I've tried posting pictures
We have Thunderstorms coming through for the next 4 days so I may start a big game on Wednesday
Can any body explain how min/max damage works? If I wan't to calculate how much DPS a tower does would I simply use an average of the two or is it based on distance? Is there any way to manipulate them independently of each other (outside of skills)?
i was on pace for 1t by wave 100-110 so only slightly behind, i lacked the multiplier you had so it means i was probably better in firepower and angering but i only have 50x multiplier, i angered with 10-13 grade 14s and had 35 gems with 100k max dmg.
plz tell me munch
1.)how long did the game take
2.)will you plz try again
3.) can i get some tips on your start, Assto's start has been working good for me but he tried a new start with supergemming traps that i dont understand.... so i still use his old tower supergems start till wave 15
4.)what was the score on your wave 228 295 monsters left, i personaly had the firepower to beat all 228 waves and was going to befoer my comp shut off
5.)what firepower did you have, probably much more than my 35 100k gems by wave 142 but at the pace i was going by wave 142 i could have made it to about 190 gems of that calibur at a pace of 2 per wave since my game ended at wave 65
6.) do you use speedhack
7.) do you use supergemmming
8.) what grade gems did you anger with, i started to use 15s and 14s after wave 53
9.)when you try again plz monst pics and walkthroughs constantly, i love that even if its like 1 per wave and just a quick update such as "wave 36 and started supergemming the grade 15s into 50k gems, multiplier at 35"
your question of average the 2 or is it based on distance, its actualy based on the hue of the gem and the hue of the monster, so its a 360 degree wheel, if the monster hue of a wave is 30 then a gem with a hue of 210 (drop a few cyans on it) will be the optimal firepower for your min/max dps i usualy go by dmg per frame and to do this i keep my gems in traps, i could beat all 228 waves without building a single tower, i prefer traps in every aspect except maybe wave 30-40 when i have 1100 monsters out and the splash radius is actualy hitting 5 monsters
dps i think the firing speed is shots per minute in normal 1x speed meaning 279 is a little over 4.5 shots per second but in my games i cant judge it by second due to lag so i go by frame or dmg per wave.
Assuming you have the initial 4,000 mana pool, and there are no shrines on the eternal level to boost mana pool, how do you get to an odd number and not a multiple of 2,000?
Leaving that aside, 6,091,000-4,000 is 6,087,000 or 1,522 increments.
After 230,000, (113 increments) each increment takes 95% of the mana pool. that is 1,409 times the 95% of the mana pool. I'll work on a formula to calculate that, but it seems kind of high.
Karsten75, the mana pool initial skill is useless in a game where multiplier goes upon *8. The cost of the mana pool tend to be twice with the skill rather than without. You should put it to 0.
that single question is why its my goal, nobody knows, to my knowledge its never been done so its quite a curious subject what will happen, i had the firepower to beat it in my previous game, that is i had gems handling about 3b hp per wave so i could in a sence take out all waves up to wave 215 in the required time then hold the last 12 waves on prismatics, which is only around 200 monsters and 105 traps can hold that no problem
i think theres a slight chance if u beat all 228 then it will reset to wave 1 again, because u cant win till you drop 7 grade 7s on the socket so it makes sencs to allow you fresh waves over and over till you do drop the 7 gems.
so the theory is if this happens, and you retain your firepower + multiplier and reset to wave 1, you could play the second round of waves and acheive an unimaginably high score.
i hope either AsSto, Lankhr, Fractalman, me, or munch beats it just to cure my immense curiosity and tell me what happens
btw im loving the liveliness of this thread today, munchs post aspecialy shook me
at your last comment i agree, munch's 1.7tri score caught me by surprise.
why hasnt someone just tried using a cheat engine or something to see what happens?
im just curious on what happens =/
and if it DOES reset, then you can easily anger the hell out of things on the 1st wave of round 2, and kill em quickly for an extreme score beyond imagination
hax dont work that way, ive tried and the way they get highi scores is insanely high multiplier, to my knowledge there are none to augment firepower meaning they wont help you beat 228 any more than excessively super gemming with your own mana farm instaed
Sorry I took so long to respond but I'm glad there are others who enjoy this game/hobby as much as I do. Here's pt by pt:
1) It took 2.5 weeks about 3-4 hrs /day avg. and ALOT of good music... Then I let it run :0 On day two I remembered about 3X speed (yes really). I notice that my construction tends to keeps pace with the music (No lag = Linkin Park - Horrible lag = Brahms and NODOZ)
2) I will try again but not till mid-week. At the end of each big game (6 now) it's like losing a pet... a proper mourning period is in order especially with an unexpected loss. I keep saying "This will be it" yet I keep coming back usually with some new strategies
3) My start is nowhere near as graceful as AsStos. A brief description would be to stumble along on feel. I'm inserting here because on re-read this didn't look very informative: StartStart: 5 traps, transmute 3 lvl 3O and 3 lvl3 R and combine for 3 lvl4 R/O and insert, transmute 3 lvl2O combine 2lvl2O for 1lvl3O, insert level 2 and 3 O, anger wave 1 to 10 armor, (sometimes this takes every last point but always within last 5) after mana starts coming in I anger the next 4 waves to 13 (w/lvl1s) and focus on extending traps/cheap mana pool. Highlights would look like this: Start with 10-12 traps (up to first long straight away) Get these up to speed (670) in the traditional manner: Piecemeal as fast as possible and getting the cheap manapool upgrades early. I keep two towers on the far east side occasionally upgrading to thin out the crowd but not necessary. After I get a nice mana flow sometimes before everyone hit 670 I start making MANA traps in batches of 5 like this: make five traps, fill w/ lvl 6 red, make lvl 10Or and combine with lvl 10L for lvl 11 L/O and 'ick-up' a lvl 6O (with lvl 11 R/O)from next tray (which I use for next lvl 10L) and add to Lvl 6 red in trap. Final specs:Firing speed 670, 8.9 mana gain per hit 70% chance extra hit, and 6 monsters hit at time. I fill the west side with these.
At around level 22 (I think) I have to start angering to level 100+ armor to get my mana this is when I add two stripping factories of 6 traps each at the end of each 1/2 screen (lvl 10 L/P dropped on a lvl 6 red in trap = 670 fs/70 % extra hit/6 monsters at a time/50% chance reduce armor by 3)) This makes sure the monsters only do 1 lap and then the Mana machine eats them up.
I know this doesn't include "whens" but I don't remember them for sure, but I will post on my next big game now that I know how.
4) My score when I got down to the last 295 was 1.1 trillion because I totally missed waves 130-160 (and I was still using duals instead of manipulated prisms). I right clicked instead of actually hitting the 'P' or Esc (On MAC this gives a flyout Flash menu and freezes the game) and I came back to 18 monsters and 30 lost levels of productivity
5) I'll touch on towers later this is getting long but on the 1.7 trill pic there is not a tower over lvl 12
6) NO Speed hacks. They are not necessary. If the computer is actually keeping up with me I make a "speedbump" so that I can stay ahead of the computer. Speedbump is a prismatic w/ 23% triple/20% chain and 21.5 splash in the tower. This makes a trap w/1018 firing speed 66% extra hit and 5 monsters at a time. I have 5 speed bumbs in the picture I posted and Its fast enough to keep it interesting but slow enough that I don't fumble any transmutes etc.
7) see no 5
PLEEEEAAASE. If any body uses as hack to see the end don't tell US what happens. Somebody will get there eventually and I'm speculating that the hack results would be different any way.
Tower vs. Trap... Destiny vs. Freewill.... Godzilla vs. King Kong I could write alot on this but this post is too long and the dinner bell just rang. Bottom line Traps do more damage but how to use them? I have theories that don't jive with observations that don't jive with practice :-)
Thanks for the hue information I should have been able to figure that one out, but now how to use it against 210-228 Bwaaahahahaaaa........
