Religion is a lifestyle, chosen by you. If you don't like religion, then don't believe, if you are a religious person, then believe. Just do this without trying to force your opinion down on others.
They choose the way they want to live not you, and if they are christian then so be it, it's not going to affect you in any way. You are not going to change the way they run their life by posting on the armor games forums, if you want to make a difference go be a politician.
I just think it's sad, how people just can't respect one another like they used to. I know this is a debate forum, but isn't is possible to debate while also being friendly at the same time? This is all I ask for, a friendly forum. Thank you,
If I believe my religion is right, then by corollary all other religions are wrong. I don't hate people of other religions, I simply do not accept their religion. There's a difference.

I agree
If you have a religion, then you shun other religions but don't treat others with disrespect. if you are trying to convert them, being mean does not help!
I know that quote of Marx and i can't really agree with him in that point.
I think the point of the quote was, that over the years religion is what kept the poor masses from rising up. Consider Feudalism, a system which ran for hundreds of years. Peasants working for nobles. These nobles get their power from the King. Ultimately the King has the madate to rule from God. That, I think is the point of the quote, not that religion is inherently bad, but that the way it has been manipulated.
religion is something in itself, I don't think that religion was created for a calming effect. I think what the government used it to help. God was there from the beginning, he wasn't invented.
What kind of things are called hate? There is the apparent form of hate (cursing people, telling people that you hate them...etc.), but I haven't seen that yet... Telling people that Christianity is the only true religion seems to have been classified as hate, when really, the people who say that don't hate anyone else (or they shouldn't if they are true Christians). That isn't the only example. Evolutionists are not haters either. I'm actually "friends" with a few even though we don't agree on some things. So...back to the question. What is "hate"?
