Religion is a lifestyle, chosen by you. If you don't like religion, then don't believe, if you are a religious person, then believe. Just do this without trying to force your opinion down on others.
They choose the way they want to live not you, and if they are christian then so be it, it's not going to affect you in any way. You are not going to change the way they run their life by posting on the armor games forums, if you want to make a difference go be a politician.
I just think it's sad, how people just can't respect one another like they used to. I know this is a debate forum, but isn't is possible to debate while also being friendly at the same time? This is all I ask for, a friendly forum. Thank you,

I don't hate religion/s. I hate the idea of/behind it/them.
The idea that people have to give this life some all-important reason to comfort them. Put order to what is utter chaos. It just all goes against human kind as a whole.
Came back to try to calm the chaos, but I will probably just end up creating more.
People do hate religion, and some people hate this who don't have a religion. I see people condemning other religions for no reason at all, just to condemn them in a disrespectful manner. If people actually took the time to study other religions before they outright attempt to invalidate another persons lifestyle, they might actually get somewhere. Even so, if you do want to prove that your right, do it in a respectful fashion because it will make you seem like a much smarter person who is just trying to express themselves.
I don't want this to become a topic about whether Christianity/atheism is right, I created this thread to express my dislike for everybody who is posting disrespectful things about what other people think. Also, in case you haven't noticed, you haven't changed anybodies opinion by telling them that they are wrong.

It's not like this is a revolution to quell those who hate religion once and for all, it's just a topic to state how disrespectful people have become towards others lifestyles over the years, and how that should change. If you want to prove a point, say it without intentionally hurting another persons feelings. All it does is make you look like a child.
I think you've made some excellent points, Johnathann, that we should all pay heed to. Let's just all keep in mind the site rules and flaming/insulting other members or their beliefs. This is especially so when dealing with those beliefs that are very personal, such as religion. This is not to say that we shouldn't take off the gloves - sometimes heated debate is the best kind Just remember to make sure the things you are saying help to further your argument, and aren't simply there to make someone upset or defensive. With all that in mind, I'm going to lock this thread since there are already plenty of other threads for religiously-affiliated discussion. If you guys were in the middle of a discussion, then I apologize. Just move the discussion to a more appropriate thread
